Anything new in the works? I’m looking forward to another meet.

Also

Anybody want to buy that fd that I found? I’m thinking that I’m going to sell it and pay off part of my school loan, and do some more work on my turbo fc.

Good:
Touring
73000 miles
Good compression
Boosts good
Good body.
Mostly stock

Bad:
no 5th gear (no grinding like a bad synkro (sp), just nothing there)
Rear bumper is burnt
Needs some miner body work and paint (there is some plastic in the fender that needs to be ground out and done right, nothing major)
Dash is painted red

Pm or call me if you are interested, I’m not sure how much to ask for it, so I will consider offers.

I live close to ODU in Norfolk, and will be home on the evenings if you want to look at it

edit: see this thread for more info on the car

I'm headed down to the Dragon in North Carolina/Tennessee next weekend! That'll be a blast! We really should start planning a weekend to have a get together. Throw out a couple of dates and I'll send them around the email list.

I have decided to ask $10,000 for the car, some might say that that is a bit high, but I’m gong on the fact that a roller can go for $5-6,000 and one in good shape for $15-20,000 so I’m shooting for the middle. If I don’t get that here I’m going to e-bay it.
I had several people ask for better pictures of the damage and of the inside, I will get that up on Sunday (I’m kind of busy this week), but I will say that the inside is good (except for the dash), with no missing pieces. And most people would not see the plastic in the fender if it were not chipped.
I am not considering trades.

I'd be up for almost any weekend. I do work some Saturdays, so I would have to work around that. Moving my mom in to a senior community in Lynchburg over the next couple of weekends. But will be available. Sunday's are always good.

Looking for some twisty roads!!

Okay, let's plan "Spring II"!

Give me some ideas, DGRR is next weekend so that's out. Maybe towards the end of April? A drive towards the Peaks of Otter?

Sunday the 28th is the rolex series race at VIR, I plan on being there. The 27th, I work.
The weekend before I will probably be in Lynchburg, working at my mom's house, cleaning it out. But could possibly do a ride that weekend. If not then, then in early May.

Spring II ... or Spring #2

It's here, May 4th! Saturday drive, meeting at the same parking lot beside Shaker's restuarant (River Ridge Mall - Lynchburg). Gathering from 10:00 to 11:00 am, starting the drive at 11:00. Blue Ridge Parkway towards the Peaks of Otter. All you Roanokers need to be in on this one. We'll do lunch at the Peaks, either at the lodge or brown bag to a picnic table.

Nothing fancy, just hoping for a good drive through the mountains. Come join us.

Count me in

My wife and I will be there, gotta check my schedule at work though, but plan on it.

Also, anyone know a very reputable window tinter? I have heard Don's in Lynchburg do an excellent job.

Just to make everyone aware of my slight mis-key... Saturday is May 3rd ... not the 4th as listed above.

As for the window tint, highest recommendations for Auto Trim Design on 12th street, Lynchburg.

Auto Trim Design

...ask for Naomi.

Sorry you missed us fred!

Much improved weather for our second meet! A beautiful day to be out in a Mazda. Now we're looking to round out the field of Mazda's in our club, we need some Miata's to show up, a Speed3, a few more 7's!

Tentative date for a summer meet is July 12th or the 19th, so start planning now.

very sorry I missed it. Was real upset that I was called in to work, but they pay the bills. Hope to get a photo up soon of the Speed3. Just put some Enkei's on it, and they look great.

Wow fred, you changed shoes on her already? I liked the stock wheels on the Speed3. Hop to that picture taking, we need one on the site page.

nfmsuprar, we look forward to you joining us. Car looks sweet too!

the stock wheels are very nice, but the new Enkei's make the car look much more aggressive. at least to me.

Hey, hey! Good timing. We have a meet coming up July 12th. Short notice I know, but you should try to make it.

More info:

Date: July 12th (Saturday)
Place: Sherando Lake Recreation Area LINK
Time: The earlier we get there, the better!
Drive: From Lynchburg, I plan to leave around 9:00 am. Rt. 501 to the Parkway, north to Sherando Lake. Arrive around 10:00.am.

On our first drive up the Blue Ridge Parkway it snowed! This trip should be much more conducive to our cars. This also means all of you Northern members have another chance to join us.

This is a terrific VA state park that will allow us to cook burgers/dogs/chicken for lunch, take a walk or mountain climb on some trails, dip in the lake, lay on the beach, fish .... whatever! Afterward, we can hang out by the cars or take another drive around the Parkway. If you're a camper, you can get there very early (maybe even Friday) and set up camp.

Some costs are:
$8 per car ($6 if only two people) - day visit
$20 per night if camping ($25 if you need electricity) - this includes the day visit fee
Each car can bring their own food. I'll bring the charcoal.
I can send directions if you wish, but try Google, that's all I will do. Let me know what you think and if you think you'll make it.

So are we going to meet at shakers and drive up together, or are we just all going to meet there. I think I saw a post where we would meet at Shakers, but don't seem to find it here.

Looking forward to meeting everyone this weekend.

You can do either one Fred, although the drive up is more fun with a gang of Mazda's in tow.

Shaker's @ 9:00 am! Don't be late!

I'm still going to try to make it. Got to still rebuild the calipers, install front wheel bearings, torque all suspension bolts, bleed the brakes, get an alignment, and finally the safety inspection. It's going to be close, but will try my best.
