But driving her straight to PFS for a tune

Sorry, this thread is pointless, but just wanted to share cause I'm pumped.
Planned pick up from PFS is the following Sat, then I can finally meet some of you guys.

Nice, "The Car" should be hence forth called "The 7".

 

When you go to PFS, look for my blue 7 license plate N1T3MARE to be getting finished up and possibly on the dyno with it's new full bridge port and GT40R. God luck on getting yours tuned, it should make some good power.

Ray is a great tech and runs the shop much better then Peter did. I am very happy with the tune I just had done at PFS.

500R sweet turbo... what do you think it will put down ?

 

Ya, I decided to use Ray because I've heard so many good things about him. I'm hoping for 400rwhp at around 15psi. The biggest limiting factor right now for me is my motor is on stock ports. We'll see...I'll let you guys know how it turns out.

 

Not to trying to say that your car won't do it, but Austin's(turbodrx7) car made 386rwhp at 15psi with stock ports on a GT40R with Ray's tuning. I did 439rwhp at 15psi with a streetport and Ray's tuning.

 

My car has stock ignition, coils have like 90K miles on em, and Ray tuned the car pretty rich since i drive the car daily pretty much to be safe. So with a good ignition and a little more aggressive tune i think it is more than possible.

But a 500R is not a GT40R. I wasn't saying it was impossible. I'd love to see it done.

Yeah, the first time I drove out there, I thought I was lost until I saw the parking lot full of 7s. Lots of cow pies out there. And what seems to be one lane roads with no lines. HAHA.

Let us know how well it does. Are you just doing a pump gas tune? Good luck with it. I know you're excited.

Did you see mine there with no motor in it? At least I think the motor isn't back in yet.

My motor is still stock so I'm going to tune for pump gas and only 13-14psi. Eventually, I'll build up the motor to turn the boost up, but for now this should be plenty to have some fun with. Ya, I saw your car, it's very nice, no motor in it yet. You drove all the way from NC to get your motor built by him...wow. Any idea when your car will be done?

 

Kelly said that the motor was going in today. So, hopefully it'll be ready by the weekend.

Sweet, I'm picking mine on Sat too. What time you planning to get there? I might try to time my visit so I can check out your car too.

Well, got some good news and bad news. The bad news is that Ray could only take the boost up to 12psi. Apparently, my car was overheating as I don't have an undertray (need to get one fabricated for my GTC bumper).

The good news is that at 12psi it put down 350rwhp!
Don't know all the details cause Kelly just told me over the phone, but I'll look at the dynograph on Sat when I pick up the car.
Overall, very happy with the results and looking forward to enjoying the car.

I'm gonna try to be there early. Probably around lunch-time. I don't have an undertray installed on my car either. I wonder if I should take mine with me when I go pick it up.

You still on the stock radiator? What intercooler are you running?

Lunch-time works for me.
I'm on a koyo radiator and running greddy 2 row.
I'm thinking maybe some ducting to get more air to the radiator and then an undertray should help keep my temps cooler.

I'm sure you'll have a blast with your car. Talk to you on Sat.
