ATCO Friday 11-11-05 !!!!
Ok well this time I’m Sure their open!!, slicks are on the car, temps should be low 50’s sunny all day with a little wind. Probably one of the last nice days of the season, so lets not let it go to waste. Also doubtful there will be an abundance of high-schoolers so multiple passes will be in effect
Ill be getting there around 5

Wobbling all over the track!!!
Well the night netted some interesting results.
I got to make 5 runs (could have got 7 if I stayed till the end) best ET of the night was a 12.1@ 95mph
Now I know your thinking WTF, well so was I! I did not get one full run in. Middle of 3rd gear the car started getting loose all over the track, and any correction made the car over correct, so instead of putting it into the wall or crossing the center lane I lifted. The car was launching like a beast, I wound my 60’s from 2.0 from the first run (46 deg out ) to a 3x consistent 1.5 (36 deg track temp) found the car loves 11psi on et streets and launching @ 7300 rpm. 0 wheel hop…. Simply amazing
Before anyone goes ragging this was my first trip to the track on slicks.
I ended up making all but one pass @ 15psi since I didn’t know if it was the power that was causing me my issues or what
Now I’m on the quest to find out why the rear started walking all over the place when it got up to speed. I know that bias-plys will walk and be softer and looser then radials but this was goddamn ridiculous. When I was done I called Tommy (turbotommy) these were his slicks and even though he managed to click off a 10.9 on these he said he was having similar problems. Other cars were having problems also but they were only a handful, many of the cars were laying down consistent fast and straight runs….
So all you high hp guys will be receiving a pm from me, please respond I don’t want to have to go through this in the spring

Btw, whoever was the kid in the silver FB with the exhaust diverter valve, A) it’s not cool to rev your engine in the pits all night. B) It won’t get you chicks. C) I know what a rotary sounds like, revving your engine to 7k 30-40 times next to me in the pits is unnecessary, and 4th more people were waiting for you to break in the pits since you were acting like a typical ricer…..

I also have video of the last 2 runs, but they need to be shortened, (extra 30 seconds in the one, and their over 15 Megs so I don’t know how to mail them to someone to host/edit) in the one it looks like I carry the front tires off the line for a few feet
