Troy is hell. Last January it was well below zero for the better part of the month. Luckily, this will be my last winter up here.

People from up-upstate dont recognize our area as upstate, however, when you're raised in lower NY, or NJ... pretty much all of NY state is "upstate" as New York pretty much means NYC.

that said, i'm in Coventryville now (right between afton, greene, and bainbridge) and i'm moving to Rochester by the end of the month.

the real upstaters are north of albany, it takes me 6 hours at least to get to nyc, if i go the speed limit, observe all traffic signal, and drink 3 pepsis.
