anyone in upstate ny
I guess I'm more central NY than true upstate... But anyway I'm like 70 miles west of Albany. I just got an 89 N/A Gtu for a summer car. Anyone drive their Rx7's all year round?
we really should get a meet together and have as many people from the NE as we can
there's a few guys in yonkers who would hopefully be willing to take an adventure
hopefully something will really get going!!
Dwayne...my bad for not meeting up in jersey...i'm kind of ashamed to show off my car as it is now...needs some paint work, etc.
plus i'm at school, i would've gone though!!!!

was down in nyc on march 12. nice day, clear roads, would have been nice to drive on. So I switched my insurance to usaa which is for veterans and am saving alot of $ to put all 3 of my cars on the road. so the rx should be on soon but not literally on till the salt is gone. looking to get a set of adr spades 17" wheels. also I think I am gonna trim a couple inches off of my exhaust tips to bring them closer so they are'nt sticking out as much. I have an apexi n1 and have noticed that all the pics i have seen with that exhaust seem to have that same problem. any ideas? still want to plan a summer meet somewhere north of albany. I have heard some ideas over the thread but we'll see. let me know. ben supermunn5@yahoo.com
Well, I figured it was my turn to check in. Im at Ft. Drum myself. I have an 86 fc. Its unfinished but as soon as I get a new exhaust, will be road worthy again. I would be real willing to show up at a meet myself. I was supposed to go to rotary rev with it last year but got screwed out for PLDC of all things. I mean my car isnt beautiful but its definatly getting there. Let me know whats up....
And for the record, I have intrax springs and HP blue shocks, OZ rims on mine and i didnt need a camber kit. Alignment is fine.

I'm in Troy (right around Albany area). I don't actually have a car yet but will be buying an S5 turbo2 this summer!! So once that is done I would really like to meet some of y'all.
On another note, does anyone know of any good mountain-type roads to race on around here? I know of a few twisties in the area but I can't really do much on them since theres houses and stuff at unexpected locations. Dah. I figure there must be something nice in the Adirondacs but i don't know where to look. Any tips?

Hay " crickifur " We are doing the rotary rev. this year again. Rain last year but still had a great time. Why don't you look into going this year. Last year my boys car wasn't ready, waiting for a engine, so we went with out it. this year knock on wood will be driving it down. Your more then welcome to join us and convoy down there. We live in Syracuse not to far from you. Let us know.
just an update, there is a show here in plattsburgh. It is the Champlain Valley Spring Nationals and is on May 28-29. They have a tuner class and registration is $15.00 Unfortunately, I have wedding stuff to take care of so I can't make it, but here is the contact info is: seymourd@westelcom.com The website is: www.cvcc1.homestead.com
Also, crickifur, thanks for the info on the springs. I had a feeling there would be no problem with the springs but have heard once you put larger wheels on, 17s for me, you may run into a problem.
