Ken Carswell's Rotary Connection is just East of Columbus, OH. PM me if you want more info-I have his number. He just rebuilt my engine. Mine cost around $3500, but it needed much more than just the basic rebuild. He's a little on the expensive side from what I've heard from other people, but he's a good, fair, honest guy.

Dave (KDR) just moved to his new shop and does excellent work. Give him a call and if he doesnt pick up just leave a message, he'll call back. Would def recommend them above anyone else in the area.

^Depends on what you are looking to have done. Dave has been known not to be the best tuner, blown up many a forum members motors, and he hasnt had the best people working for him which caused his reputation to take a hit. I think now he is basically running things by himslef so you should be okay. Dave is pretty knowledgable and definently a stand up guy, just dont know if you want him tunning your car if you have more than a few mods.

for and repairs and mods i would definately recommend KDR.. They do awesome work, and have worked on my car on numerous occassions.. Dave is an absolute stand up guy and knows rx7s like the back of his hand.. Whenever something seems off, just tell him the symptoms and i guarenty he can fix it. As for tuning, i would recommend jumping on a tuning session with steve kan or seomthing. He is absolutely an awesome tuner. You cant go wrong with kdr working on the car and having steve kan tune it!!!!!

I actually went to Dave to have him tune my car and he did that just fine. He found the extra horsepower that I was looking for. I'm sure every rotary tuner has popped a few engines and after seeing all the high horsepower 2 and 3 rotors hes done I'm sure hes more then capable.

I'd just call up Dave and ask what kind of experience he has tunning the type of equipment you have on your car. Don't hold me to this because I have no actual idea or not but I think on the cars hes blown more have been with an Apexi Power FC ECU then others because he told me that he tends to recommend Haltech or Microtech so I think he just doesn't have the experience with the Power FC as some of the other tuners. However, like I said Dave did a spectacular job tunning my car and I have a Power FC and I'll probably do down there this spring for a re-tune for more boost now that the cars actually got some decent mileage on it.

Yup, I was there the entire time he was tunning and watched. I got there around 12 and was on my way around 4 or 5. There was a rain storm when I was about to leave so I hung around for a bit to wait for it to clear. I had around 10 pulls and the price was absolutely spectacular for the time Dave put in.

I think I had the appointment set up about a week in advance but don’t recall. Dave was good about getting me in because when I was going for the tune it was about a week or two before they were about to move. I'm sure a week would be plenty of time, but I can't answer really, just give him a ring.
