I'm gonna buy the OEM ngk plugs and wires. I might as well buy them from someone that works @ a auto store that won't mess up my order. All OEM parts for me until i hear otherwise. What kind of oil should I use for the RX ? the guy before me was putting in synthetic GTX i think...it's a '87 NA w/ 98,000 original miles. thanks guys

I live right between then one on Rt9 and the one you work at so it's a toss up...the drive down to you is more fun though...down hill twistys :0) Either way i'll stop by one of these days soon. 10% ? thought it was 20%...you making gas money off of me ? Haha, it's all good, I appreciate the help man. You'll know it's me when you see the Misfits sticker covering my antenna hole haha, peace.

Dr.Jay thanks for the refference to that guy @ Inline....best price I've ever heard in my life for auto work. I'll be seeing him within the next 2 weeks to get my clutch and full exhaust put on. Heard he's got a pretty badass MK2 supra....thanks again for the help, I found my new mechanic.

Car sounds nice, man.

If my car is done by Saturday, I'd love to take it out. If you guys want to take a hefty cruise come through to my crib in Poughkeepsie and help me finish building my car.
I'm just finishing up the haltech wiring today and tomorrow and then have to fire this bitch up, and pray there's no leaks.

what kind of tranny would bolt up to that? would I have to find an RB tranny or would something stateside bolt up? How about wiring... how easy is it to come up with a harness for that motor... or at least the plugs for the sensors so I could make my own harness?

Are you running stock ports? More info on your car please...maybe even some pics.

I am in the Poughkeepsie area, when my car is running (finishing up a TII swap + haltech into 88 base) we will have to swing by the local hang outs and have some fun.

James
R85 is much more responsive then the T78

I'm about 2.5 hours north of Albany in Plattsburgh. I own a 93 (red) and an 82 (white). The FB unfortunatly had to become the winter rat this year. Body was rusted anyways. I'm willing to drive down for a meet when things get warmer.

Hey, keep me posted with PM's. I haven't been on in a while, especially since I moved to PA, but my FC is still in the Albany area and I'm always looking for an excuse to head back. It'd be great to meet some other rotorheads. I tried getting some things going about a year ago, but things never panned out too far. Like I said, keep my posted.

I'm at school right now (Clarkson University, Potsdam, NY), but I live in Albany right near Crossgates and will be there all summer long. I'll keep an eye out on the nyrotary site for a meet date.

Oh, and I drive the cleanest white 88 GXL you'll ever see.
