first i want to say hi to j9fd3s, it's been a while. you've always been helpful to me. cheers mate!

second, his is what i am doing. i am building a 4 port bridgeport engine. s5 na rotors, full cut bridge with notched housings, race port D exhaust ports, itb intake set set up (might use efi 4 barrel similar to peeJay, havent decided), lightweight flywheel, balanced clearanced rotating assembly good for 12k rpms and i expect a powerband up to 9k-10k with some room for a cushion in case of miss shift or whatever. my 86 gxl fc weighed in at 2600lbs stock (per the title, local scale said 2591lbs) and it has been removed of unneeded stuff like power steering and ac equipment, no smog controls, single exhaust that i am unhappy with, getting a turbo2 transmission soon and eventually an aluminum driveshaft.

im building it up for autocross for now. i plan to either A) move north when i finish school and do hill climb runs or B) begin wheel to wheel racing with NASA florida division. but im in school and bills and blah blah cant afford track days and autocross is cheap enough to fit into budget and its fun. who knows, if i make it to regional runnoffs and place decent i may stick with it. but the pont is, i love na builds. high revving super responsive rotaries are my passion. no it will never reach 300rwhp but i dont care. although if i were to put the smallest safest sized turbocharger onto my bridgeported irons and urn 10psi i could probably see 4 hundred hp but again, i dont care. i say if you love na engines, build her up and enjoy! i have a 4.77 rear dif swap and my stock ecu is running rough from a poor condition afm and i made my buddy smile when shifting at 7k...he owns a 381rwhp big street port car. his set up is the perfect turbo st up. pulls so smooth everywhere and yet his first time riding inmy na with the 4.77, he realized why im obsessed. i love it.

A cage adds a lot more weight than most people realize. A really stiff welded in cage with maximum chassis bracing adds a little more weight, but the handling improvements of the stiffer chassis and improved safety (driver confidence) are worth it.

I've got a gtus with a 13bre naturally aspirated, moton shocks, all the west coast e prod goodies, and lots of the jdm goodies as the market collapsed. It's a sweet build. But these kinds if cars are kafirs if live u never get to see.
