I heard that the 5th gear lock-out switch on the standard NA transmission would limit the ecu from going over 130 mph. I was told the way around this was to run 4th gear to the rev limiter - not the buzzer - past 130 mph & then shift to 5th gear. With enough road I was told that 150 mph was "possible" with a good strong NA motor - I mean ALOT of road.

Kinda funny 'cause thats about where I always topped out at no matter which exhaust I had or sunroof open or closed or windows down or up, ports working or not. I think that without the stock ecu the numbers would go up do to the 5th gear lock-out switch. Maybe I could just disconnect it? Anyone know what exactly the 5th gear lock-out does?
