s5 aux ports not working

so i have an 89 gxl that i just installed the atkins sleeves for the 6port cause there was no sleeves in it when i bought it. the problem is that they still dont work and my vdi doesnt work either. i found out that the car used to be auto and is now manual and the clutch switch and neutral safety switch isnt connected. do these need to be connected and if so how do i wire them to an auto body harness

shouldn't,VDI works from air pressure,do you have the air pump on it,that's how the six port actuators work is from the air pump pressure.

Bypass the solenoids' vacuum lines like so..

Have someone start the engine and rev it a bit. By about 2-3000 the pressure should be up to opening at least the 6pi acutators. If not, you have an air leak/airpump not working/actuators broken (not in that order of likelihood, lol). If they do actuate, then the solenoid isn't opening properly and you're on the electrical path.

Easy stuff first
