ITB+ Bridgeport questions

Im looking into the possibility of building a N/A bridgeport rev machine! with a set of ITB'S. Iv been doing a lot of reading on the 2 different companys that make them for the rotary but there are some small differences between the 2, tweakit and obviously fuji racing.

What exactly is the point in the 4 injector ports on the tweakit itb's?

Is anyone using all 4 or are they using injector plugs on 2 of them?

I have also been looking into the art of bidge porting and building a good bridge port motor and have always been told if u want to build a good solid bridge port motor u need to run, 1 peice apex seals and to steer away from carbon ones? but there is another forum member on here running a bridge port with carbon apex seals?

Are they one peice?

Are they the racing beat carbon race apex seals?

Also i have been looking into haltech as a standalone option? any advise in that department. i havent really read up much yet on a stand alone system for a 13B N/A motor yet

Jenvey is another ITB maker, might want to consider them too. 4 injectors are nice, because they can be staged, making the two injectors work at light load and idle. Much easier to tune than running only two 1100cc injectors. You can use 2 piece apex seals in a bridge port, not the old three piece. Carbon is only made in 1 piece that I've seen due to the fragile nature of the seal. Carbon is only needed if reving past 8500 rpm. Ceramic is more stable and pricey for 8500+ too. Haltech is one of the best bang for your buck, and are reliable standalones. It will work fine for your n/a. Your biggest concern should be the header and exhaust system on a bridgeport however. We sell a adjustable race header that will yield very high numbers if you ever need one.

I have done pretty much exactly what you propose to do in my FB. I'm using the tweakit ITB's, the 4 injector holes worked perfectly for me as I could then use the 4 x 550cc injectors from the s4 turbo engine. Haltech will work well but you may want to consider the cheaper option that I used. Im using a megasquirt 2 and it works great, have had no problems getting a great tune. Its up to you, if youve got the cash go with haltech. I'm also using the 1 piece carbon apex seals on my bridgeport and have had no problems, I rev to 9500 rpm on a regular basis havent had an issue.

You can find more info about my build at https://www.rx7club.com/showthread.p...geport+project

If you have any questions feel free to ask.
