This is what they look like. They are vacuum operated not pressurized like the us models, since some fc's over there still had thermal reactors(sa22c style) instead of manifolds and catalytic converters. The thermal reactor left little room for the diaphragms on the outside of the manifold like we get.

the oil bypass at the bottom of the front cover of ALL 13bs has the same threads/pitch as an O2 sensor, and what i use in place when not running a wideband. there's a tiny hold that i weld up, but you could just drill in tap it, i'm sure someone has a spare front cover laying around...

you're welcome

US vs EU 6 port irons are different, US iron does have machined port surface (so the sleeve can fit in and turn inside)

I'm looking forward to tearing the shortblock down so i can tell for shure if the irons are any different from the ones with sleeves.
Hello,

As I live in Luxembourg I have a spare European LIM here with the butterfly valve type aux ports if you are interested. But I doubt how yours can be broken, thats basically just a vacuum actuator that turns the butterfly open or close. Vacuum comes from the ratnest.

The EU side plates are different if I recall correctly, I have a spare motor in parts with EU plates and a race motor with US type plates. I am pretty sure recalling some differences on them.

It's was all seized up beyond repair when i got the engine, so i removed the valves and shafts.

I don't have a rats nest on my car anymore.

But i might be interested, would be good to have the 5/6 port system working, i could be all 5/6 ports kicked in YO!! :P

Is it just the unmachined cast hole then for the euro six port or did they change the casting so the port has a nice radius in the back? Like the other ports.

Hmm, don't know why i didn't think about it before, but wouldn't running something similar on my semi pp engine be worth a try?

FYI here is the recipe for my 6 port S5 NA (including some non-performance mods)

Built by Kevin @ Rotary Resurrection
Good used 3rd gen housings
Atkins 2mm apex seals
Exhaust diffusers removed
Stock TB, rat’s nest, etc
Streetport
Stock air pump actuating aux ports
Atkins aux port inserts
Injectors cleaned/balanced by RC Engineering
T2 pump
OMP operational
Custom cold air box intake
All silicone vac lines
Removed AC and PS
Mazda Comp motor mounts
Racing Beat uncollected Jet Hot coated Header (awesome)
Header slightly port matched to exhaust ports
Full uncollected RB exhaust
Mallory HyFire 6 CDI ignition
SAFC Gen 1, tuned by Chris Ott @ Rotary Performance, very conservative12’s at WOT, 185whp. 190whp when in the 13's.

This is a GTUs so it has LSD with 4.3 gears. Very nice! It is quite a scrappy little whip around town. Gets high teens, low 20's around town. Got about 15mpg on a track day (big track, lots of WOT).

Mazda really did a nice job on the S5 6-port engines: decent torque down low, nice smooth transitions with the VDI and aux port actuations. Very driveable. With above mods, comporable to a stock Honda S2000, with a smoother powerband and ability to run regular gas You can *****-foot it around town and keep up with traffic. Then wind it out when the urge strikes.

Might try gasket-matched intake, TB mod, Rtek ecu in attempt to hit the magic 200whp
