Most of my work I do myself but I've used P.I.R. for a couple of things and was very happy...they know their stuff and are reasonable on price and turnaround.

I was just there yesterday and the shop is loaded with RXs of all years.

I have my motor being rebuilt and bridge ported by P.I.R. right now. A+ quality in everything they do AND good prices... they're all great guys too.
Other than that though I do all my work myself.

Precision is the place to go! They should still have the deal where they will diagnose the problem for free for Mile High Rotary Club members.

Nah both my fd's are at my shop, just one of the motors is at PIR... I'm gonna stop by there today to see how the porting is going. I'm kinda thinking about opening the ports up a little sooner than we had talked about.

When it comes to rotary experience there aren't a lot of options and I don't think there's much anecdotal evidence either.
I daily my drive my S5 and rarely (if ever) see another FC on the road.

Your best bet would be to just go by the shop and talk to Mike/Mark/Dan and see what impression they give you.

Did they warranty it? I just talked to them today but they said they wouldnt warranty anything above stock ports? Mine is street ported also. He told me theyve never had a motor come back though. Did you have them tune it? Mine will be getting tuned by Steve Kan in March but want it tuned good enough to have fun till then and not hurt anything? [/QUOTE]

Do you already have something set up with Steve Kan? We have had Brian come out now for the last few years and we were thinking of bringing Steve out to Denver as he is a little more known for some high horsepower cars he has tuned. I will start a thread about Jan / Feb looking to see what kind of interest we will have in bringing him out.

What all was replaced and what did it cost you? Apex Seal choice? Sorry for all the questions but this will be my second rebuild and dont want to do it again. Thanks for the help Skyler
I had to have the rear rotor and housing replaced. I ask them to get the best apex seals they could. I had to wait for the seals witch were on b/o at the time. There called super seals. I think it took about 2 weeks. Also had a new clutch assy and both rear wheel brg replaced. $5599.98
