DamionSoul it's cool we will have other meets. I don't know about going to Santa Fe, I have not been there yet and I still don't don't know this town yet. So is everyone else good with the Sonic meet?

Sat around for 20 minutes then left. Didn't see anyone at the Sonic meet. So now I see that nobody really wants to do this and that's fine. DamianSoul I think I'm just going to go to the scca events and I might start racing in them so I'll see you at the events. I tried to get something going but it just seems like it's worthless. It never got off the ground before and it isn't going to now, but it's cool I'm going to do my own thing.

Let us know when you decide to come out and race, I'd be more than happy to help you out on getting registered/tech'd/walking the course/whatever. As for car meets at Sonic, it really isn't my thing..

Hey SHIFT thanks man. I'll be out there, trust me. Now do you guys go throw SCCA or do you have a different website. I know in Louisiana we had to pay just to become part of the SCCA, and fill out a form and everything. Plus it was on some off the wall website.

Local SCCA events are posted on this website: Rio Grande Region SCCA
Local racing events are posted on this website: Racing Southwest.
You have to be a member to race with the SCCA, but they have a weekend membership option for those who aren't sure about committing to a full membership.

You sold your car because no one would go to meets with you? be involved with your build?? Sorry but those don't sound like reasons to sell your rx. I drive an rx7 because it's unique, sexy and of course the rotary. You don't see cars like these very often.
I've already talked to a few rx owners who share the same passion for these cars that we do, but they are not regular forum members. Maybe there just needs to be more effort put into these meets.

Well guys I'm not going to be racing and the events, going to get it ready for a ls1 swap. I'll still be driving around but I'm not going to rip it out till I get the motor built. I was going to rebuild another rotary motor for the track, but I have decided to try another route. Brian I'm sorry about the meet, I just moved here not to long ago and I didn't know there was more sonic's on central. Sorry about that, but if everyone would like to do a meet again I'm for it but someone else head this up.

So it's been a while since i've posted in this thread. I'm back in las vegas for my last year of high school. My summer in albuquerque wasn't bad at all, just wish we could have gotten a bit more momentum with the rotary meet. My N/A is just about ready for paint. It's all primered and wetsanded. It's gonna be white, and i'm actually surprised how well it's looking for a DIY paintjob.
I'll get some pics for you guys when it's done. And then I'll be busy with the turboII!

Well guys looking at buying a house soon and I think I'm going to rebuild my motor instead of the v8. As soon as I get set up in my new house if anyone needs a place to work on there car you can always come on over I have a good amount of tools and air tools. Also I have two migs and a torch to do some fab work, but it's only if you need it and know how to do it. I had a bad experience with a friend, and now I only weld on my stuff, but you can use it all you want. When I get moved in I'll post it up and just pm me if you need a place to work on your car for a day or two. I know how it is to have no place to work on anything.
