Yep mikes the fastest by a little bit, but whos going to be the fastest in the near future as in next year..... Claus if he can get his car running for more than 36 miles before he rebuilt another motor.

Im a close second with a 12.3 at 122 best at 10 psi(had major fuel issues) , and mikes is a 12.0 this year best.

 

We just finished the car and ran it for the 1st and only time at the Street Tuner Mayhem. 12.0 for the 1st time up wasn't that bad....but the truth is....that's pretty weak considering I ran a 12.1 with stock turbos and the old motor. We added a GT35/40R Garrett turbo and a fully built 13B from Atkins Rotary. The fuel pressure is dropping above 16 pounds of boost. To fix it I ordered -6 fuel lines, 850 Primary inj (to complement the 1600cc secondarys), and another fuel pump. Hopefully this will fix the problems and allow a new tune for 25 lbs of boost.

 

The fastest FD (1/4 mile) for the last few years goes as following
2001 ?
2002 12.5 Brandon Silver Touring
2003 12.1 Mike B Red R1
2004 11.9 Mike B Red R1
2005 12.0 Mike B Black / Grey R1
2006 (Better be a 10 or low 11 sec time)

Who will be the fastest?
Maybe Claus (if he doesn't decide on a different set up and start over)
Maybe Mark (if he can figure out how to not blow up his engine for the 4th time)
Maybe Derek (if he can get his car to run right)
Maybe Kole (if he orders what he says and can make it work)
Maybe someone else (Maybe Ari will move to Colorado)
Maybe Me (maybe I will raise the bar once my **** is working correctly)

All I know is at the first import NHRA event....there will be a battle!

Man Mike, if I keep my car I will run you this year in my FD. I was at PMI today but I was the only RX-7 running that I know of. I ran horribly though so maybe it's good you didn't come!

1. I had the car about 4 days and that day was the first time launching it
2. 1st rwd high powered car for me
3. Only got 3 passes
4. 1st time on slicks

If things go well this week and next week I will be able to keep the car and we will run.

 

I wonder what it would take to get my vert to be faster then mike's....hmmm..
