colorado mechanics?
colorado mechanics?
Hey everybody, I'm back again. I am originally from Canon city co, and currently live in albuqurrque nm. When I bought my fd, she wasn't running to great, and I had to put a lot of money in her to get her running. Afterwards I deemed her up for the drive to Colorado to get her registered at my home of record in Canon. She blew her coolant seal 70 miles from Canon and I pulled over and had to get a trailer and friend to tow me the rest of the way. As it sits, she needs fixed. I searched the forms and most of the rotary mechanics recommend on here aren't around anymore. (I called every one I could find) precision is the only one open, and I've seen some people posting not to go there. Do we have any more options? I have an rx8 also, ky friend is lending me his jetta to get back to abq, then I'm getting a friend there to drive my rx8 back to Canon so I can get the jetta back. So I'm good on a car while the 7 is getting fixed. My brother is going to get a trailer and tow the 7 wherever it can get fixed, I'm trying to avoid the dealer BTW. Any options would be a great help!!
Eh, takin it to precision. He knew what he was doing when I called and talked to him. 3200 bucks, and that's if all my parts are good... Sucks it just had a rebuild 20k ago from rotary rx in albuquerque. Oh well huh?
I just moved here to the springs area but there is a meet up of rotary heads. None are mechanics but are all DIY'ers so they might be the ones to talk to. I know the FC's fairly well but never worked on a FD. Good Luck
Ouch, that would be one crazy drive. Abq to Canon city, grabbing the truck, towing the 7 from Canon to Texas, then back to Canon city to drop off the truck n trailer, then back to abq.
I believe theres a guy Don, I think in Littleton CO. He has a shop there, races rotaries and posts on CMZC website. try askin some of the members there. good luck

It's all good man, emphasis motorsports got me back to abq, pulled the engine, sent it to bdc and I got a bridgeport done on it. Getting a gt40 and alcohol installed shortly. It was a fun lol.
I am a mechanic at a shop in Boulder CO I am currently rebuilding my TII block to swap in my 89 GTU I am always glad to help a rotary enthusiast. I am very limited on time though since I am always working at the shop and barely have time to even work on my own stuff.
