WTB GSL-SE or FC or FD in St. Louis

I need a daily driver besides my pickup. I am interested in one of the following:

1) Pristine GSL-SE, any exterior color, any interior color except red. Must be bone stock or easy to return to stock, run good and look fantastic. Minor mechanical issues okay.

2) Pristine 88+ FC coupe. Same condition as above - must be bone stock or easy to return to stock. All interior/exterior colors considered.

3) Clean FD. Bone stock preferred, or lightly/sensibly modified. No "appearance" dress ups, only performance mods will be considered. Will consider white, red, yellow or silver exterior, black or tan interior only.

I am in St. Louis and will need to see the car in person locally. If I am interested I will also want to do a complete mechanical look-see at my shop, including compression test with Mazda tester, and if I don't buy the car I will give you the results of course at no charge.

I am a motivated CASH buyer. I have bought and sold a lot of these cars over the years so I know what they really sell for so please be realistic. Prefer e-mail to steve@lunch.org or phone (618) 874-8003 at the shop, (314) 541-7485 cell.

Thanks!
Steven

Thanks for the bump, Scott, and for keeping count - I gave up a long time ago.

I have been bidding on the Ro80 currently on eBay but not too hopeful. I have a crashed RX-8 at the shop now and I really ought to use the parts for the racecar but I'm thinking turbo Renesis in a first gen... I even have spousal approval to do the project as long as I "drive it on the street". Apparently I am banned from more race cars.

So.... I'll need brakes that can slow down a turbo Renesis... how about a nice clean GSL-SE roller with no engine/tranny? (Add it to the list above).

You've probably seen it, but there's a pretty clean FD for sale at Reid Vann in Rock Hill.

Steve, there is a white 3rd gen up at Davinci. It's got a brand new reman (0 miles) and rebuilt turbos on it. That's the good and here is the bad. It's got a big ricer wing on it and big chrome wheels. I'm pretty sure it has a boost gauge, exhaust and aftermarket stereo.

He wants to sell it, he'll probably let it go for 9K.

I have seen it, its been there for quite awhile. It would look decent if you took off the hideous wing and rims.

You could buy mine. If you wanted it stock you would have to get a new hood, the one that is on it is carbon fiber. The only reason the original hood came off was because the turbo hit the and dented it when it was shut. Other than that The new motor has about 250 no boosted miles. Athough It dose have slight motor mods.

I called over to DaVinci, got a fax machine. We went by to look at it, place was deserted, but yeah, the car would be okay without too much effort if the price is right. By the looks of the way it was pulling out of the deck lid I think that wing generates lift.

Anyway, does anyone know when they are at the shop? I'll try calling again in a little while.

Still looking...

Well after all that I ended up going in a completely different direction and buying an '06 MX-5.

Maybe I can bring the Miata to the *** bar sometime.

Thanks for all the suggestions and advice.
