oh wow lol bump from the dead hahahhaha!

john... negative i ended up loosing out yet again hahahaha! i've got some rough luck with getting a damn 7 i swear. story more or less went like this, the dude with the white on white (white volks) he showed me two of his cars. one black with some mods was in fair shape, needed paint and some interior parts. pulled like a champ though no question, was a bit more of a "race" car then a dd though for me (no power steering or a/c blah blah blah) so i asked him about another he owned... said maybe he'd sell it but never heard a number so i guess he decided not to sell. (which didn't matter in the end) then i got a pm on here from a cool dude named cody who got a non running fd and asked if i'd be interested in it. went looked at it and we talked cost, came to a happy medium more or less and then there was title issues who he bought from sooooooooo i held out for about oooooh a month or so before i said to myself this prolly isn't happening sooooo i spent the money on a a/c and furnace for my house instead (which was prolly the more important purchase lol). i do know he ended up swapping in a new motor though and got it running fairly well then had it up for sale again but i dunno if he sold it or not.

all in all, now i'm more or less waiting till i pay off my legacy before i try to hunt again. anymore i keep thinking i'll never own one though lol. business where i work is incredibly slow and there's talk of maaaaaybe not having a job in a year or less so i'm not sure what'll happen really. if i've got a stable job and i pay off the car (prolly about another year or so) i'll hunt for a fd... if i can't find a fd i love then i'll look for a fe (8 as i'm sure you all know) which i can live with if i do a swap of some sort.

i'd still be more then happy to hang out with you folks though lol still love the damn rotarys more then about anything.

Seth - bummer bout no RX... its like drugs... you have to get one... lol, anyways, I have an 88 in pretty good shape, got a few things that need worked on, I think the oil cooler for the tranny is leaking. (at least, the thing that is leaking I "think" is an oil cooler.) I will be keeping my FC, but, by the end of this year I'll be getting a FD or a 8. Depends on whats out there once I get the money together. Its about the same cost. The FD would be more fun, but, I can get 4 ppl into a 8, so... pros and cons...

I've hit a few people up on here that I noticed responding to meats in Wichita, so far no responces. I'm to the point now of maybe starting a club but have no idea how to do that and as i cant really find any one in Wichita, would it be worth it? idk...

Hey Krazy, cool you got an RX. I've been obseced with them since I owned my first on in 99, an 87 n/a. Anyways, you end up comging to Wichita for any reason, or just for the hell of it lol, hit me up!

yea i'm sure it is john, i've wanted one for about 10 years or so and nothing has really changed. i'm trying to stop modding my legacy so that i can be happy with it lol. every time i've been in an fd i've just thought to myself good lord i love this damn car lol. like you i am kind of pondering the same on the fd and fe's though... for about the same cost something with atleast half the miles and seats more, or something more sporty far more options blah blah blah. the fe will probably be what i end up with just for sheer costs alone. i kind of figure in a year or two when i'm ready it may be hard to find something with a great interior (which is a big thing for me) and we all know the fd interior pieces can cost a small fortune alone lol.

but too i wouldn't want the renesis in there either... i'd have to have a boosted motor. which i'd want to make worth my while so i'd want either a 20b (dream there) or a 1jz since it's some what more linear (vs. the 2jz) so i'd have a reliable option for a car that did a lot of sitting.

as far as your club idea, it's rare for me to see any gen of 7 honestly... i know a 8 owner or two, then the couple i posted about buying their cars (i know cody has a older gen don't remember what year it was as well) then there's a guy that lives some what middle east wichita i think that has a black one he did a single turbo swap on last time i met him was one of the downtown midnight car shows he had entered in. never really see any others lol.

omg... that is one draw back to the FC's and FD's... parts, if you can find them and when you do, you have to pull out a second morgege on the house to pay for it and thats not even mager stuff. I need to find new vents for my dash as the center ones are gone and the side ones have very shor life spans left.

I had to replace the front windsheld... took me 3 days to find one. A brand new one was almost 300, thats a bit spendy for a window. I also had to replace the left front brake caliper but I got lucky on that one.. $30. The driver side door has a rather large dend in it and I think it can be repaird, I've never priced body work, so idk... I'm just hopeing I can keep from sinking all my spare cash in to things like... o... a turbo? lol so I can save for the 8.

I have been reading up online about doing a N/A to trubo swap and I might just do it. The engin and trany I can get for 1400. idk... still pondering that thought

O yea, I have driven the 8's and they are a little laking on power so yea, I'll follow your thoughts and turbo the 8. Prob next year if I can get it this year. As for 20b, it will be my dd so, not gonna go that high... between 8 and 12 I think, so the seals and what not last longer. Anyways... its all dreams untill the car is in my driveway!!

Yea, I've only seen 1 other RX that wasn't an 8 and I've only seen 3 of the 8's. Been in town about 2 months now. I'm guessing I'll have to find an import club or something... idk...

Ok, I'm gonna go stick my head under my car and see if I can deside what that is thats leaking and what I need to do to fix it. I'm leaning twords a slege hammer, but the commity is still out on that one... lol

lol well if you want join up ksautoforum.com i'm a mod on there have been since day one more or less. it's a smaller forum for the wichita area with a little bit of every car you can imagine and it's far more laid back then wichitaracing. my name there is Seth1784 (had an issue here when i made my log in that didn't work so had to do the 1884 instead). i do know we've got a fd owner from junction city or some where near there, then we've got i think 2 8 owners as well. a crap ton of subaru's though lol.

as far the 8 motor being boosted it just scares me, seeing how people feed it really no boost at all and what not... to me that's just not worth while. i'd want atleast 10psi in there to make it run good lol. 20b is just an awesome motor and it would just be glorious no matter the rpms lol just costly is the problem.

omg.. I'm a moron... you said 20b and I read it as 20 boost /facepalm, I totaly spaced the 3 roter moter... yea, that would be a dream... drop a 20b into a 8 turbo it... you'd be looking at 800 to 1k hp... freaking awsome!! and very spendy to build... lol anyways.. yea.. I'll jump onto ksautoforum later today, I got to stick my head under my car, it was making a interesting sound last night... almost like dry gears running... anyways... talk at you later!!

hahahahah yea i figured you spaced it out all good, i don't think i'd push a 20b near to its limit... i can see myself doing a mild thing and shooting for 500 to 600 tops, can't see really ever needing anywhere neaaaaaaar that though. that would be high boost too i think 350 to 400 is perfect for a fd and even an fe. i think that would be a normal day to day level i'd really love.

too if you join ksa there's a thread someone made the other day looking for the rotor folks lol.
