I have a 93 R1 RX7...It has upgrades, but every morning when i start the car it cranks and then just dies ...cranks one time and starts for about a sec then sounds like the engine hit a tree...i wait a couple of secs and the car starts perfectly.. could it be my starter? because sometimes when i try to start abd have my clutch in it clicks...i was wondering if anyone else has/had this problem and could give me some advice

 

I would suggest posting this question on the 3rd Gen Section, you might get a better response. Whats your compression numbers? hmn...sounds like the engine hit a tree? I'm not really sure what that sounds like, but I'd check the common things like making sure the ground wire connections are tight and clean, check the spark plug wires to make sure its seated properly, and try fully charging the battery. Hope that helps.
