so i just got my car running after 3 yrs and the damn thing smokes so bad i cant even drive the damn thing. is there anyone in the Saint Louis area that could give me a hand to figure out what the damn problem is.

 

I would check the oil feed lines, they get brittle over the years

 

all the oil lines are new the turbo is rebuilt. i cant tell if the fluid that builds up on the exhaust is oil or gas it is black as it could get but still fills watery and yesterday i checked the oil after running it for about and the dip stick looked as thou it had water on it and when i pulled the cap off it had a soupy white film on it. the motor is an REW has 850 and 1600 injectors and a powerFC.

 

what color is the smoke? white and smell sweet? dark and smell like unburt fuel? dark and smell like burt oil?

 

It is a strong oil and gas smell but it is not dark unless I get on it I can post some pics and a video later

Why don't you pull the plugs to see? I think the oil seal is bad.

 

maybe check your oil level.... I had something like this happen when I over filled the oil by mistake one time

 

What if your oil level is fine and it is leaving black gas smelling fluid on the ground

 

yeah my oil level is "fine" but does burn a crap load of it and the stains on the the ground smell like fuel

 

Ok I am having the same problem with my AE. I have a rebuilt 13BT from Banzai, TO4Z turbo setup, 550cc prime and 1600cc sencondarie running on a Power FC. I purchased the car back from the person I sold it to years ago and he never did anything with the car after I sold it to him. I was able to fix a few wiring issues and I was able to get the car running/driving. One of the problems is that there is a black fluid that comes out of the exhaust flange at the bottom of the downpipe and mid pipe. It smells like raw fuel. The car has had the OMP removed and is running premix. I have done compression test and the motor is producing 110psi on the rear housing and 105psi on the front housing. There was no oil that came on of the motor during the compression testing. The spark plugs are black as if it is running extremely rich if not close to flooding. The turbo is new and has zero shaft play. The car does smoke like hell but does not smell like engine oil burning or coolant. Both engine oil and coolant levels are at OE recomended levels. I am curious to see if we can figure out both our issues in the same post.

 

have you guys checked the gas tank yet when i bought my t2 it was sitting for 5 years gas tank had half inch of rust in it i changed the tank went through like 5 filters n a pump n mine cleared up
