They only do a couple a year so you could save up in between events.

I would like to bring my car out on the track, I will start saving now. When is the next event? I will be running the track at IRP at the next RR for sure.

I think the posche club and bmw club have one more event this year. Ive heard the porsche event is 3 days long and alot less supervison.

So the audi event is over, i had a great time, and im wondering why ive been dragracing all this time. I had an instuctor in the car all day, we wear headsets to comunicate while on the course. By the end of the day i had it sliding around a few of the corners. Missed the last session due to axle seal leaking on the rightrear, probably from running the banking, so the instructor said grab your helmet lets run some laps in my car( 2002 996). I tried not to screem like alittle girl, truly amazing when someone knows what there doing on the track. I was trying to see the speedo down the straight, looked like 135mph, then tap the brake down a gear yank it into turn one hard brake and proceed to 4 whl drift around turn 2.

I know Steve Kan was in town and all the 3rd gen guys were getting there cars tuned, but id like to thank the rest of the rx7 and rx8 owners for coming out to the track.....oh wait none of you fucksticks showd up.

Hey Mike-

I'm having thoughts about an October thingy. Like maybe the 16th. Something like claiming a particular large covered picnic area down at Washington State Park (about 20 minutes south of the house) and doing a BBQ. I found some more nice roads off of 47. I figure set up the picnic as a base and run around as we feel like it, rather than a halfday cruise.

I had a chance to look at Tony 's car. It is a very clean install. I did get a little confused about why it says 'VTech' on top, though....

(Tony- just kidding!)

Overall I was very pleased with the output and the tune. The turbo was definately breaking up above 6-7k though, which doesent suprise me for a TII turbo. Ill get a bigger one soon enough, im just glad the car is drivable, a first in the 4 years ive owned it. I think the only one whos car has been down longer than mine is JimLab

The engine bay is kind of dirty though, loss of interest here and there, need my IC pipes powdercoated. All I can really take credit for is the engine install and the wiring of the ECU, Bi-State(Divinci) did my FMIC piping and install.

Ive got some high temp aluminum colored paint im going to lay on those as soon as I get the chance. I dont think they guy who owned the car before me painted the mufflers though, he didnt seem like a huge ricer.

But who paints a Racing Beat exhaust system anyway.....
