Drop me a message. I no longer have a FC or FD but spent a crap load of time tuning these monsters. My last FD made 402 RWHP. I would be glad to meet you and talk sometime.

I've been dealing with moving back here and getting things squared away with my dad (he has Alzheimer's) for the last 6 months. Unfortunately my car has been sitting neglected in a barn since my arrival. I recently drove it for the 1st time since I got here and I found it is not boosting properly. It appears my primary is not boosting to the 8 lbs required for the Turbo Control to actuate, so I never get full boost. At least that is my take on it.
Before I left WA I was having boost issues in that my boost on the primary was good, but @ 4500 the boost dropped to ****. I found I had some bad vacuum lines, so I did a complete silicone hose job. I also replaced the stock intercooler with a XSPower SMIC. A friend of mine did all custom piping and fabricated all the mounting/duct work for the intercooler. He also installed an Apexi blow-off valve. It looks great IMO, but who cares if the turbos aren't boosting correctly.
I've got more work to do (lite flywheel, clutch, wideband O2 sensor, etc), but not until I get this corrected. I just had shoulder surgery 2 weeks ago, so I'm not able to do much with it right now. I'm hoping to have it useable in time for a run in St Louis that is coming up in May, but most mechanics around here are worthless when it comes to rotaries. You know how it is, they all say rotaries are junk, to which I say only because they know nothing about them. Same old song...
So I'm looking for some ideas on where to start. Things I might be able to do with 1 hand since the other is in a sling and will be for quite some time.

I graduated from SIU not too long ago and absolutely LOVED having the FD down there! I was part of the auto technology program so I had a huge group of car guys to always play around with....and I always had to rep for the rotary!
There are a few FDs around the area (one had a 2jz swap) and a few others but none of them are active online, just local guys.
I did get rolled on one day while I was changing a tie rod in the dorm parking lot and it turns out the cop just wanted to check out the car. He told me he always patrols the lot and would park near my car to "KEEP AN EYE ON IT"
I almost couldn't believe what I was hearing and this was an older 50+ gentleman while I was just your average college 'punk'.
Turns out he had a FD as well! Told me he had it parked down the block at the station with rims, tinted windows and all. I basically almost didn't believe him and later walked by...sure as **** there it was looking sexy as hell, haha.
He gave me some tips on where some good roads were since I wasn't that familiar with the area. I sure miss that area....cops are ******* ****'s around chicago compared to down there.
So they are around....just gotta be out in the FD enough to catch their attention.

I know this is an old post but I don't live that far and I visit Mount Vernon pretty often. There are a lot of nice, twisty roads but you have to search for them.
There are a few rx7's in Mount Vernon that I know of and my friend had one but he passed away. He was the only reason I knew of the other rx7's in town.
