SD quick question and your opinion

I just bought a 13B TII JDM engine swap. I live in Sioux Falls SD and the weather during the summer is undoubtedly hot and the winters are damn cold. I was wondering if I should get rid of the heater core, the a/c compressor and power steering assembly. Give me your opinions on this matter, please. Quick question: What are all the belts that are needed for my engine (if I do plan on keeping everything)?

would this be too much of a hassle to mess with? I'm not that big on the whole electrical wiring aspect of the engine so I don't want to ruin anything. Would this ruin any feedback to the ecu? I really do want to get rid of the power steering, but I don't know how to go about doing so. Any input on my problem would be very helpful. thanks

When it comes to technical questions you're probably better off posting them in the 2nd gen section. As far as removing the a/c and heater core, why do you want to delete those? Those things are handy to have.

This vehicle will end up being a "fun" car, track, drift vehicle. So I do have a reason for weight reduction, not only that, I'm thinking about taking the interior out and welding a roll cage. But on the other hand this may be a daily driver or even a back-up car. I really don't want to drive it in the rain or during winter season due to the salt deposit on the roads. There is a lot of thinking involved but these are the possibilities.

Well if it's going to just be a track car then that's fine to remove it all, but if you might dd it during the summer having the a/c there might be nice. I say figure out for sure what purpose the car is going to serve and then go from there.

Some advice for you go to rotaryressurections.com if i mispelled it just google it. there will a tech section on there on how to remove all the emissions on your engine. once your done with all that all you will need is two belts, and it seems you already have a dual alt. pulley. The only belts you will be using is the water pump and alt belt thats why your engine has a dual alt pulley run two of them. If your looking at your engine pics remove the entire assembly on the right side of your engine so it will be the driver side once installed. Also the air pump located on the left side of the pic so that would be the pass side once installed.

Also there will be no problems with your ecu if you decide to remove all that ish. Also get your self a set of block off plates I'm running 7 block off plates but i have to pre-mix my fuel with 2 cycle oil. Some people keep the oil metering pump that way they don't have to pre-mix. if you decide to go that route you will only need 6 block off plates. Feel free to ask anymore questions but it's always good to read up as much as you can about your car. That's how I got all my info the worldwide web
