quick help, Chi town

hey guy i know alot of the 3rd Gen owners upgrade to a better radiator and usually change out the stock shift ****. Anyone local have either of these things layings around that i might be able to possibly use. I dont have to change to really spend much on either right now (other priorities for my swap) but i figured id ask as a bunch of you guys probably just have them sitting around collection dust anyways. LMK

Im in need ASAP,
Thanks

Ted

PS anyone who can help me...ill hook you up with a set of my pic collection for FREE (5cds!)

FYI, if a picture of my car is on any of those CDs, you can paypal me the royalties (1% sounds fair) as the specific image of my car is a corporate copyright.

ya know for a while i've been thinking of doing something similar to this...for anyone who wants a piece of the little cake i make. But just to make it fair for EVERYONE you can only recieve the amount the you pictures are worth from the set as a whole...so 21,853 pictures...bout 5 are of you car... .022 percent of the $25 cost equals roughly 57 cents. I can paypal immediately but only if you can cover the 3% fee. Thanks

BTW Joe, hows the swap coming along...im still down to help if you ever need it.

And can anyone help me out...please? Charlie...Max..

Unfortunately, that's not how it works Copyrighting something means a person thinks that the image has a value higher than just any other picture of anything else, thus it is not a "percentage of the whole" type of royalty.

The best comparison I can give you is modeling photographs: a magazine comes out with two dozen models doing a spread, no big deal, they all get paid equally. The next month, 23 of the girls are the same, but there is one substitution: a supermodel actress (Elle MacPherson to complete the visual). Now, she has an agent, her own photography studio, and her likeness is used to make millions of dollars. Does she get paid the equal 1/24th share that the other girls do? No. People are buying the magazine mainly to see her.

While this is a bit of an extreme example, you can't just add 20,000 other pictures and say that the value of a copyrighted image is made lesser by flooding the product with other lesser (free) cost images. My price is 1%. Take it or leave it, I'll cover the paypal 3% since it's a business account for a business transaction.

Ahhh, now we're getting into the meat of the discussion. It actually doesn't matter when it's for profit and without permission. It's like you bringing a camcorder to a concert and selling a DVD of the performance that they've paid to produce. It's equally as unlawful as to sell a copy of the commercial DVD. If it was being given away, there's very little a lawsuit would accomplish unless there were specific damages. But when it's earning the seller money, the crazy thing is that you can sue for made up damages! (Oh boo hoo, I would've sold a million copies if he hadn't sold his 20 copies)

Anyway, pay up or cease and desist...or both!

I'm probably the only one insane enough to fill out droves of paperwork for meaningless things once I became my own corporation.

Hey yeah, I never got to see the video of my craaaazy autocross run

I assume the terms and conditions now include "all attendees agree to be photographed or videotaped" clause.

Nope, pay up.

And it doesn't matter what you intended to take a picture of, so long as it is being sold, you need my permission
