possible relief for emissions in MO

Sen. John Griesheimer filed a bill to exclude testing for pre 1996 vehicles.

The states contract for emissions ends in 2007, which is when presumably this would take effect.

Independent stations would then emissions test 1996 and later vehicles via their on board computers.

I'm not certain, when or if they will floor it. Last year it took some presssure from KTVI to urge them to floor and vote on the last emissions related bill.

What makes this bil more promising is the timing, the cotract with the emissions stations will be ending at that time.

Don't get my hopes up! I like emissions testing and compiance, I like being 'green'. I detest the Gateway Clean Air Program. Sorry, i mean the 'Gateway Clean Wallet Program'.
