Need a Mech in NW Burbs

Anybody recommend a good guy who knows his stuff in the NW Chicago burbs?
I'm in Elgin.
I'm not a mechanic by any means, but not a complete nerd...The engine seems fine in neutral...can rev it up to 6500 rpms no probs... but problems begin when I get into gear and go. If i drive like my grandma and baby the accekerator it'd ok...but if I punch it I get to about 45 MPH and it sputters and shakes then even with the pedal to the floor just starts losing rpms and finally dires. Starts right back up with a clutch pop. There is a pretty noticeable gas smell. Thanks for any help. Feel free to PM me.

Hey, I have a mechanic whose VERY capable of working on Rotary's at my dad's shop. Him and I just completed a single-turbo conversion om my FD and prior to that he's done almost all the installs in parts for my car. He's done plenty of other things for FD's and I don't think he'll have any trouble working on any rotary. If you're interested just PM me for further details.
