nebraska cars?
The only black FD that I'm personally aware of in Lincoln belongs to Kyle (Millertime). It's an R1 that he's currently in the process of converting to single. I don't think it's been on the road lately though.
There's another black FD in Omaha, belongs to a nice old(er) guy. I recently met him at coffee and cars. It's Touring. Still pretty stock .

1993 Black/Black 5-speed. When I sold it had Niche wheels that were on it when I bought it. My dad drives truck and goes through Lincoln quite often. He says he still sees it down there and it still had those on it when he seen it last. I know it had the motor rebuilt in 2004 shortly after I sold it. The kid that bought it from me lent it to a friend to drive. He was in boost and hit the fuel cut switch thinking it was nitrous and it blew the motor. The car was a mix of R1 and PEP. Had the R1 coolers, under body aluminum panels, etc but leather moonroof. The body and interior were flawless when I sold it.
Came out of Witchita, to Sioux Falls, to Worthington, to Lincoln last I knew of it.

I am looking to buy another FD. Would definitely buy my old one back if it would come up for sale. I should add the wheels looked like the Niche Shock but were a single piece, and they were only something like 7.5" wide.
I found some car show details:

They will have a dyno ......... time for you guys with the newer cars to whip it out and measure up? See how much power has been lost/gained over the years.
:-) think about it.

Anyway, thanks for the help. This is about the only thing not easily found on this forum.

Mine should be going on the dyno before then anyways. Now that I'm back from vacation and graduated this has moved up my priority list.

You could also some out to the SCCA Spring Nationals at the Lincoln Airpark the 25th -28th and see some well built FD's and a slow FB hit the cones. We actually use the horsepower available to us to do more than show off.
Re:
Where do you see in the literature that it's american only? I'd say they'd be shooting them in the foot with a policy like that. There are toyotas that are more american made than most if not all fords, chevys, and dodge vehicles made in the past decade. Look .................... it could still be fun.
its not there, but I know in the past they have turned away foreign cars. I'm not saying it wouldn't be fun, just that I've got other things I would rather do than hang around snobby muscle car guys. Like the National AutoX even that's in town that weekend for example...
The best part about SuperNats is the cruising/burnouts at night anyways.

It's open to imports. Toby had his 350z there last year. In the class definition, there is a "best of the rest" category that specifically calls out Nissan, Toyota, Studebaker, etc.
Culver's on Friday night might be crowded with all the cars in town.
Do the cars still cruise "O" street on Saturday night?

The dyno or the show? I know the show part is, I also know the dyno has turned away imports in the past.
culver's is going to be crazy, too bad I have to work Friday night.
the cars most definitely still cruise O, I feel sorry for my delivery drivers.

I will be watching the weather and hope to make it down to Culver's, then the show and autocross on Saturday. Maybe cruise around Lincoln a little for nostalgia reasons.
Kyle, I will give you a shout if I am around the race on Saturday.
Yes, I meant the show. Why would anyone turn away a dyno run unless it didn't fit (fwd, awd). I know, I know, sometimes people just can't get along.

Behavior is key on both sides. And both sides have acted like *** hats in the past. The old guys (like me) won't/can't understand that my little 1.3 liter has better power to weight than their classic muscle...and the boyracer-wantabes show up sitting on their faux CF hoods comparing tats and having sub wars.
I usually don't have trouble, maybe it's the gray hair. But Grandmoff is right, if the line get's long, I can see them turning imports away...unless it happens to have some LSX rumble.

You are right that there are plenty of *** hats floating around.
I personally wear a 10 gallon *** hat...
I hope to see a lot of people this weekend. Lots of car stuff happening, and the weather will dictate what I do.

If anyone makes their way out to the SCCA events stop by and say hi, I'll be racing the FB and driving the FC out there everyday so keep an eye out for either. It is the only FB out there and possibly the only FC also.
