Hey im moving out to lincoln nebraska soon and i am looking for some fellow rotorheads out there so at least i might know a few ppl when i get out there and have something to do on the weekends, i have an 84 gsl-se, s4 intake, full exhaust, short shifter, and I am also wondering what the emissions are like out there, cause I have all of the emissions removed. ThAnks

Don't worry there's a few of us here, we just keep pretty busy.

Actually, I won't even be here when you get here. I'll be in Cleveland for school.

There are no emissions tests, and as long as your car isn't ungodly loud cops aren't much of a bother. There also are no 1/4 mile tracks near here (assuming you are moving to Offut AFB). Nearest 1/4 is 3 hours away, nearest 1/8 is 15 min away.

 

well that means i better get a new exhaust or go stock, i get tons of **** from the cops here already, im not going to the afb im going for a job offer and to get out of az

 

I dunno how old this post is just wanted to say that your exhuast has to be pretty damn loud for the cops to car out here . Like so loud you dont have a muffler that loud . I have seen a few other Rx7's around so you will not be alone .

 

its still a new post, I wont be there till december this year im waiting to get off probation first then im the hell out of az

 

ya we are around there are a few more in Omaha thats about 40 mins from where you are and for the most part plp try to gettogether but does not pan out as no one has the same days off it turns out. Myself and a about 2 other RX7 guys do make it for a drive/lunch about 1 or 2 times a month.

 

I grew up in Lincoln, nice clean and quiet town. Since you're moving from the SW, bring plenty of warm clothes for the winter and be prepared for the humid summers that will take your breath away when you step outside from the air conditioning. i moved down to St Joseph MO, 120 miles away, in the early 80's chasing my job at the railroad, never managed to get back to Lincoln. I've chatted with a few rotarheads from there online, they seems like a decent bunch.
