For sale - a 12a '83-85 lightweight steel flywheel and underdrive main crank single sheave pulley. My latest project will not need them, so they are for sale now...
Mazdatrix is currently asking $392 for a new 12a steel flywheel PN #11441, and $75 for their single sleave underdrive pulley PN #01-7201-0000.
MAKE ME AN OFFER!!! These parts don't really get worn out - but are used so can't fetch new price either, please don't lowball - only serious inquires only!!!!!!!
Send a PM, here, or email. Preferably a Minnesota person, so the transaction can happen in person. I can send pictures if you need a picture - otherwise look on Mazdatrix.com and you will see what they look like also.
Thanks,
Randy

Any other offers out there? Couple PM's, no offers - here are the answers to the questions I have had.
Lighter then stock flywheel is "sort of" like free horsepower as in the engine revs quicker and accerates quicker to redline. This is apparrently especially in 1st, 2nd, and 3rd gears. I was probably most impressed that flinging a lighter piece of steel would result in a more responsive feeling car.
The underdrive pulley compliments this - if you choose to buy it also that is. It keeps the revs down on the water pump and alternator for longer life when you rev the engine beyond ~7000rpm. It also frees up a slight amount of HP's also.
