I'd love to get a decent car trailer. Maybe this year. Take this car back to the mountains...maybe desert southwest. Then I'd be tempted to crash a Chicago area meet and put some (user) names and faces together.

It's idling like poo because it has 720s in, but the rtek isn't installed. That will be my first task. It had to snow the day it arrives

Desoldering these chips and jumper off for an rtek install is a pain in the butt. Got one chip off and one to go.

Racecar! The FD is too precious and expensive to track IMO. This Fc cost me as much as an OK miata and it's NOT a miata. Parts cost about what miata parts cost and again it's NOT a miata

After installing the rtek myself and feeling like a baws, I pulled it in the garage to begin emissions delete and inspect everything. She had been idling and all of a sudden I hear a really loud clicking somewhere under the IC and then it died.

I pulled the UIM (way more involved then in the FD) and pulled the injectors. I'll be sending them out to witch hunter for cleaning and testing. I'm going to keep the thermowax, double throttles and BAC. But kill off the airp pump, split pipe, AWS, and egr.

This has a very clean engine with supposedly 2k on it and built by Karak. It's very exciting to have a second 7 in the house and I gotta say, I'm far less scared to work on the FC then the FD.

Look how clean the UIM was:

Several of my injector clips were cracked as are many electrical clips. I'll probably be splicing in new ones this winter. Suggestions on the best method? I was thinking but splices with sealed heat shrink.

soldering with heat shrink is the best method imo. Adam, what turbo do you plan on running on the fc?

Jim,

We need to talk trailers. I too would like trailer access a couple times a year. Perhaps we can combine resources for something a little nicer.

I think that can be arranged. I am looking forward to bringing it out in the spring. I have a block at the machine shop for it now. It should be ready to install around May.

We should meet up to just hang out and BS. Maybe down at Mantown.

Anytime. I'll be working on the '52 this month. Changing out steering gear and column. I'll give you a call. The refrigerator is stocked.

I did a complete 91 TII swap into the gslse. I remember seeing my very first turbo gslse in Japan, and i had to have this conversion. All the work was completed and tuned by Kilo Racing in Orlando.
