PG2013.1 Will surely be THE must see event of the season. With over 5,000 enthusiasts in attendance this unique event provides a smorgasbord of different racing such as Drag, Drifting, Auto X, and Time Attack. Although the event is tailored to drivers (both novice and experienced) we have also seen exponential growth in spectators and campers alike coming to enjoy not only the daytime racing but the post racing party / nightlife as well.

Brainerd International Raceways facilities are truly incredible and
all I can say is if you haven't been to Proving Grounds, you're missing out.

More details on classing, pricing, etc will be announced in the near future. For now please SHARE this event with any and all enthusiasts and help up make this years PG even bigger and better than the last.


This event was awesome last year and it keeps getting bigger & better!! Lets represent the good old Wankel!

 

There will be 2!!!! events this year. June 21st-23rd & September 6th-8th everyone should at least make it to one of these events. I promise you will not be dissatisfied!

 

Im still waiting for my semi-local auto club (CWSCC) to finalize their club track schedule for 2013, but Im planning on given the proving ground a try this upcoming year
(I only hope my ITB + Haltech conversion will be finished and tuned by then)

So explain to me:

For the time attack, are there classes? If so how is technical inspection/testing done? If not do you have any desire to enforce a set of classes?

 

They do a full tech before the races... Like last year they have A-D each letter was a different class.

Excited. Made it out to the 2011 PG but missed last year. Gonna shoot for both this year to make up for it

 

I'm planning to be there again - probably working autocross and road course tech.

 

Hoping to make it from the middle of ND. had a buddy hit a wall with his EVO last year. He forgot that you need brakes when on the course

 

I watching from the opposite side of the crash! that was intense! How is he doing? new car yet?

 

His brother Shawn with the supercharger RSX had posted the video up on youtube and some people started just asking to buy stuff off the car not caring about him or the car from a picture he posted up there. I believe but not sure if he parted it out and not sure of his future ride.

 

Any details on the event yet? Pricing, times, etc.

This Event is going to be huge! Local shop here in Brainerd is bringing out their Dyno for a Dyno event. Also I think they wanna try to beat the world record for the most burn outs at 1 time lol should be a great time!.

I missed this weekend, but look forward to the September 6-8th event! Wasn't able to due to not getting my custom driveshaft made in time. Well at least this way I'll be able to fine tune the car for maximum performance for the next event - can't wait!
