Laying new roots in Indy
Well guys,
I say that we should move ahead with plans for the Friday night cruise in. It looks like everyone either doesn't care, or wants to go to the cruise in. Sound fair to everyone?

They know about it already on RX-8 club, I am on there. They are planning to attend the show on Saturday.
I would probably not make it on Friday night but if people want to get together still for the show I Saturday, I am definitely up for that.

Do you know if the Rx8 guys are actually entering the show or if they are just attending? It looks like it is $15 to be in the show. I'd guess that to actually enter the show as a group of rotaries, we'd all need to register. Looks like the church does the car show as some kind of fundraiser, so at least the money is going to a good cause.

Most of them are at the tail of the dragon this week and out of pocket.
On the registration form we could just put, under club, Indy RX-7/RX-8 club.
Gotcha.
With this added information from Foxman, I think that everyone should vote again on which option they would prefer. So, hopefully for the last time. Which would everyone rather do?
1) Cruise in & Cookout on Friday, October 17, from 5-9
2) Car Show with Rx8Club on Saturday, October 18, from 12-6
I vote #2. I know that personally, I would now rather attend the car show with the Rx8Club and bring the Indy rotaries out in force. Would be pretty fun to have the biggest turnout at the car show, especially when they are expecting about 400 cars.

I'm just going to do this the old fashioned way and keep a running tally. Please keep those votes coming guys. I want everyone to have a fair say.
Option 1 - 0 votes
Option 2 - 2 votes

So, since it looks like we are doing the show on the 18th, let's get some specifics decided. Should everyone start sending in pre-registration forms? Should we list "Indy RX-7/RX-8 Club"? I.e. is the RX-8 club cool with our including them in our pseudo-club for purposes of this show, or not? The actual show runs from noon to 6pm (registration 8am to noon), so what time should we start showing up so that we can clear out space for our clique (or do the event planners do that for us based upon pre-registration numbers)?
I second.

We should meet up somewhere and "cruise-in" together. Some could even meet up for breakfast if so desired say at I-65 and Southport Road. Bob Evans or something.
Count me in for breakfast. Time and Location sound good to me.
Foxman, find out from the Rx8 guys what we need to put on our registration forms. As soon as you let us know I'll go ahead and preregister online. That way it will be a little cheaper, and I'm guaranteed a t-shirt.

Awesome! It should be fun to bridge the gap between the two clubs. I'm going to be coming in from the east side on I-70 if anyone sees this and wants to caravan with me. Looks like I'll be running solo right now. Maybe I can find a few Rx-8s on the East side of Indy to drive over with.

That all sounds great! and count me in for breakfast too! what are the specifics on breakfast? as in where at exactly.
also, is it free to just go to the show or what? My 7 is down and out at the moment so it won't be leaving my front yard for awhile.

I'll just have to meet you guys there or something later on in the evening.
