Laying new roots in Indy
The 19th looks like it has the best potential. Let's consider meeting up in Speedway on that Sunday. I don't know what kind of traffic the event will bring in, but hopefully we can find a good spot that's available. One thing that comes to mind is Union Jack's pub. It's racecar friendly, and they have great pizza. Then, if we wanted, we could cruise right down the street to O'Reilly Raceway to check out the show. Opinions??
P.S. I just got home and saw a red FD parked around the corner from my place. It has Hamilton Co plates. Anyone know whose that is and if he/she is on the forum?
The 19th sounds the best to me too, regardless of where we meet at and what we do. Meeting at the event would be fine with me. Or meeting up somewhere else and cruising to the event as a rotary gang would be fun too.

Stock wheels, stock wing, RB exhaust (the best kind IMHO
That's kind of what I was thinking, but I'm game for whatever. I do want to get some kind of idea on a meeting place and start time because I know I can't be there all day. Zinx, what does the schedule for your class look like?

Its an all day type of thing, i don't know the schedule. The 18ths opened up for me so i'd be up for meeting that day, if it works better for everyone.
just heard about this event which is on the 18th, they had over 300 cars last year

Some of us ought to head to that. They need some rotaries in the group. Looking at all those 60s-70s muscle cars can get old sometimes.
I may head to both events actually. Thanks for the link!

I'm up for the cookout if anyone else is. I think that the car show looks like an especially great time though. Would be a good chance to just hang out with other rotary guys and educate the masses.
I think several people can make either the evening cruise-in on the 17th (Fri) or the show on the afternoon of the 18th (Sat). Everyone, please respond with your preference as follows:
(1) Friday night cruise-in
(2) Saturday car show
(3) No preference/either one

Either way I am getting out of work for whichever day it is, but I care not much for a bunch of classic cars that (more than likely) don't get driven but maybe one week out of the entire year because they are too precious to them.
