Hey there Fellow Rotary heads.

The Michigan RX owners have been having a good time getting together. I'd like to expand on this and pick a central location that we can all get to and have a great time.

What are your thoughts about a meet in Sandusky, Ohio at Cedar Point?

We can arrange for seperate caravans to organize in various areas such as Ann Arbor, Columbus, Cincinatti, Pittsburgh, South Bend, etc.; and then all converge on a meeting spot close to the park. From there we gather up and roll into the park at one time so we can take a section of the lot.

I'll toss out some dates as this will take a bit of planning. Please vote on a date if you're interested.

Post up any suggestions or if you'd like to volunteer to lead a group in your area.
I'll start a new thread with all the details after we nail down a date.

Hopefully we can make this happen if you're interested!

(Note, I have this thread and poll going in a few RX forums. So hopefully we will have a ton of RX-7s and RX-8s all attending.) I will update with final plans after we choose a date.

Man I haven't been to Ceder Point in forever. Count me in if it's late in the month!

For those of you that have never been there, it's a huge amusement park with a **** ton of parking and a ton of things to do surrounding it. I think it would be a awesome spot plus their are a few Race Go Kart places around there that we could hit up for fun!

Awesome idea. I was thinking about snagging a hotel in the area depending on the weekend selected. There's a group of RX8 guys in Chicago who are interested. I will post up all caravan info in each of the forums as soon as we lock in a date.

You're right, there's a ton of parking. If we have a lot of cars, I may ask if we can have a section for our cars. (In back or front row. We'll see what they say.)

this actually sounds like a lot of fun. it'd have to be on a saturday for me to be able to make it. (didnt vote on the pole, dont have a calendar in front of me, so i dont know wich day that'd be)

LMAO! Hokey Smokes, I never realized Iowa would want to represent. You RX7 guys are far more diehard than the RX8 members. (OK, no slamming the 8s, we're all familiy even if we're inadequately turbocharged four door sedans. LOL)

Anyway, that's fantastic. Yes, I set all the dates on Saturdays. For those staying overnight, it gives Sunday to get back home. (Just easier on everyone.)

Sorry about the Iowa thing. I expect Wisconsin will lynch me next.

Thanks Buff! I will do. Any chance you might be interested in coming. I know you already have an amusement part in Gurnee, IL (Six Flags) but it's not as much about the destination as it is the companionship there.

Perhaps in the future, we can set up a meet like this in your hometown. (I grew up in Chicago so I'm always game to return.)

Feedback on RX8club has been good. I'll make a collective list and close out this thread on Friday night. I'll set the firm plans in place on Saturday.
