Live and learn-

They added some cool new features into the P2k and those burnt him I think.

During transition you can compensate for the secondary injectors coming online and he was basically turning off your primary injectors instead of just cutting them back a few ms.

I'd like to have that option on my E6X...... 1600cc are a bitch to stage even if you know what your doing.

Took me a long time to dial mine in just right but with 1000cc/1600cc yours should be easier.

He also had something silly like 500 percent fuel/coolant correction.

That would explain why your car hates cold starts LOL.

There's just alot of cleaning that has to be done but after you learn the basics they all the same.

Jason,

How is the user interface with Rob's haltech?

Comparable with what I was used to with the e6x at all?

How is Rob's user interface with his version of Haltech?

I was going over the software last night.

There are some cool things that this thing can do, and I know nothing about it at all. Time to get schooled on it by professor Jason.

At first I hated it honestly.

Then it got tolerable.

Then I realized you could do things quicker because of the better 3D map.

As it stands it has good and bad. I perfer the ease and clarity of the E6X software.

But the new P2K has some nice GUI tools to use for maps.

Functionally there is nothing really different except for a few minor things no normal person would know.

It's about a 10 min learning curve from a E6X.

Jason - Is the FD put away yet? It would be cool if you brought it down, or I came and got it so I can finish what I started on it. Sorry again. I didnt see all that needed done until I saw it at the meet in QC. Anyways, let me know what you would like to do and we can figure out everything.

Steve - Do you still want to delete your spoiler? Let me know what you're wanting to do.

Eric - Its about to happen, for real (I know I keep saying that Im not trying to put you off or anything). Also let me know absolute bottom dollar for your blue paint.

Blade - I still plan on visiting sometime.

Brian - Sell me the welder dammit!

I drove it today but it started to snow a bit so I think i'll put it down in a day or two.

Really surprised i was able to drive until December. I think last year i stopped driving it a few months before dec.

let me know how much you could get each piece for.
ive been browsing club RS25.com for some time, and the sti and wrx axlebacks go pretty cheap on there, but shipping seems to be a biatch.
if you could get an sti axleback local, that would be sweet.
just let me know what you find out.
thanks man.

A buddy of mine down here has the sti axleback and he said 50 bucks I had no luck on a midpipe. The same guy has the stock one on his 06 wrx and is going to be getting a new midpipe one of these days so he will have that whenever he gets a new one for his car.

If you want it just let me know and you can swing down some night and we can go pick it up.

Yea, I saw that. It's a pretty good deal, clean body and interior and all. At this point in time though I do not have a good place to work on something like that. I could buy a storage garage and try to do it there but that would only work if I had outlets to use, which most don't. No friends have open garage space at this time either. The girlfriend's brother recently bought a place that has a large shed, but it's not heated and may be semi-filled this winter with storage vehicles. Possibly come spring I would be able to work there.

This winter I will most likely be busy with other projects. The girlfriend's car is going to have some paint work done to it which most likely my dad and myself will do and I also have a few other things to finish up on her car. Also, I will be buying a new DD within the next month or two and at that time I'll be doing maintenance and working on it.

Also, as far as what I'm looking for - at this time I'm thinking I'd rather start with something that's complete, untouched, has a good body and interior, and is 5 lug. I know I'll be paying more for it, but I just don't know about trying to put something back together that I didn't take apart. I know that I already hate fixing things that other people have already torn apart at work and doubt I would much enjoy doing it after work too. I will most likely just pick up a clean S4 TII or N/A or N/A S5. Only reason I'd want the S4 TII is because I want the diff, whereas the S5 TII has nothing that I want. The only option I want is sunroof, otherwise manual mirrors, crank windows, and no rear wiper. Rear wiper won't be needed as this car won't be driven through rain or snow. Something like this only in a better color scheme would be nice:

Just thought I'd de-lurk and let you know I'm still alive, still have my FD and I've been buying a few parts for it lately.

The Spirit-R steering wheel I bought 2 months back is already on the car. I've ordered an SMB cat and cat-back but it hasn't shown up yet. I really wanted the SMB pipes in picture so I could claim 4 continents of origin.

That's stuff looks good man! Wish I had a fd to put stuff in. Maybe someday.

Blade, Let me know on that axle back I'll be going to my buddies house to pick up a couple seats this week sometime.

Ian I think April is getting me a front mount for x-mas. So maybe sometime after we can put it on and do my trunk.

Yeah my buddy said 50. I think we might get together tomorrow and go have some fun in the snow if you want to come down.
