besides if you keep talking about mods that make it unfair, it negates the whole which is faster argument- "if i had a turbo i could beat you"... never ends.

but i said what i've got- and if you do the same ill be happy to still race for dinner provided you haven't changed to forced induction, added nitrous, etc.

Edit: oh if you have those mods maybe it ll be a close race now. But if u need mods to beat me maybe that says something about the M since its already a 8 year older design than your car even before you moded it lol

If you provide a timeslip from one of your runs i will believe you when you say your car is consistent with what they are saying. Til then it doesnt mean anything cause you have no proof.

I'm not saying either one of those cars didnt run that time but, they didnt scan in a time slip so I could really care less about either one. No proof= who gives a ****.

 

as in "my car isnt as fast as yours now", but it will be...

that was my only point- you are talking about beating me with your car after you have done things to it, i'm talking right now as is.

i could go buy x or y mods and argue if that would make a difference to beat you but i don't have them so i am not talking about them. Once they are on your car then that's a dif story.

It was planned to do those things before you even knew I had the car.

I didnt buy my car to compete either, I bought it to enjoy. Not everything in life is a competion. You'll learn that someday.

Just to jump in on this whole "debate" -

First off, Fast and Furious - I enjoyed it as I watched it tonight.

MY timeslip says 15.8 @ 82 so not sure how I pulled a full second out of my *** in the FB last year and still only pulled 82 mph. weird... I have the timeslip and if I remember I will bring it with me tomorrow so you can see it.

 

The movie was damn good, just got back from it. Funny thing is though we had two shows tonight. There were a few guys that came in nearly drunk and kept shouting **** during the movie. The manager asked them to leave and they wouldn't and people started standing up and moving down towards them. Two of these bigger guys walked up to the drunks and got in their faces and one of the drunks ran out shouting ****. One of the big dudes ran off after him and there was a nice little brawl outside before the cops showed up. Damn it was an awesome time.

Btw, you guys all drive slow cars.

The joy of working for a BMW/Nissan dealership is that I get to drive the best of all worlds. Took a brand new M3 out for a spin the other day, that was pretty fun. Also got to drive the GTR but didn't really get to really tear into it unfortunately. We're slated to get our first 370Z here on the 10th, but sadly it's going to be an automatic. The next one to come in will be a manual though, so I can kindly wait for it. Also the twin turbo X6 is kinda cool too, but in all honesty I can never find the joy in owning a BMW. I guess I'm just crazy.

Alot of times you will trap faster with a worse 60ft time.

it's easy to shave 1 sec off a wheel hoping tire spinning launch and then shift mad quick yo.

 

No one get's to tear into the GTR b/c they break if you do...... or just voids your waranty.

 

I was spinning the **** out of 1st. Hopefully with the lsd and tires that arent complete **** the spinning will be a little more controllable. Also the lighter fly helps from spinning off a harder launch, even with the craptastic tires I used to have. I am really hoping to be into the low to mid 14s once its all back up and going. Does that sound like a reasonable goal? Im talking without the juice.

Have to see what your mods are and your 60 fts times since you only talking about improving those.

to shave 1 sec off your times and only doing traction mods you must have some horrible 60ft times.

2's are decent 1.8's and lower is quick (i've only done one 1.8 on my FD and it felt awsome but the FD diff blows up in 1.8's).

 

Do you dare to compare E-*****'s. Our cars are way slower than your fd but at least me and E will show up and run what we have, unlike you.

tell you what, i should bring my 99 suzuki esteem with its crazy fast 1.6 liter single cam. i think it made 600 whp. (or was it 60?)
i bet you i could run sub 20's with it (i would hope..)

 

If we're racing our slow cars I'll bring the Daihatsu. Equipped with it's 1.0 liter 3 cylinder with 52 HP I'd imagine I could do like a 22 second quarter mile.
