Florida. Ignoring my FB. Fixing the RE5. Replacing the transmission on my wrx cause the previous owner was a ****. Various things. Finally got the FB back to DM for some serious repairs, and discovered that my fuel pump crapped out on me.

 

Does the RE5 run and drive yet? Obviously if it does and you can make it, you need to drive it to the meet.

Zeke - Are you planning on bringing down the truck? Cuz you should.

No, but I wish it did. I was slowly sorting through the wiring harness. That thing is a mess. I've got half a mind to build a whole new one. That work's on hold while the rx7 is in des moines, though. Rear end exterior is disassembled and re3ady for body repair work. Carb is in the middle of being rebuilt. The jets and much of the rest of the carb was pretty crapped up. Two of the jets were plugged up completely, and one of the needles was leaking. That's why the engine kept getting flooded.

Carpet is out. Looks like there's minimal (surface) to no rust. I am very happy about that. Gonna start fitting my spare WRX seats into it as soon as I pull all of the soundproofing/insulation/carpeting.

 

I still have that 85 GSL harness. Its yours is you want it. Its for the entire car and the plugs are all in good shape.

Not sure wether or not I will be able to bring either of the 7s. I was really hoping to get the FC up and going, but it seems there is just enough work needed that it will take too much time. However, I will try my best to get the FB up and going. Going to try and figure out the starter problem. Hopefully its simple.

Even if I dont get them going I will be there for sure (probably in the protege).

Edit: What would an S5 intake setup be worth? I happen to have the entire thing. Also, is there any real gains to be had by using it? I would search but I honestly dont care that much about it. Thought about just scrapping it, but then thought it may be worth putting on the FC. Ideas? Its all NA stuff.

 

im not much of a n/a guy but i think the s5 intake has different size ports than the s4 you might be able to buy a adapter i wouldnt think the gain from switching to how much it would cost would be worth it

 

that is good cause it looks like a mouse went to town on the engine bay... not going to be able to get the doors off you. but the axle and harness.

 

think s5 na had VDI (variable dynamic intake) or somethign goofy.

They are indeed different between series.

The best way to get money out of manifold is to clean and polish/powder coat them.

I have tons of NA intakes as they are usuallay throw away engines.

 

Not sure why, but for some reason the passenger caliper became missing from the GSL rear I have. Also, one of the mounts for the bars that go front to back on the sides got bent really bad (basically sideways)... Not sure if its safe to bend it back so it got thrown into the parts car to get crushed. Still have the wiring harness though no prob. I'll most likely end up in the protege so I will bring it with.

well, i was training quite a bit for a fight and that pretty much took up my life. then i injured my neck and had to drop out of the fight and quit training and now im back into cars.

i don't really know of any cars for sale, unless you want a mk3 supra shell.

 

i own seasons 1 and 2 and have season 3 on my xbox360. the episode when frank and mac have that sweatshop in their basement is the best one.
