Just a guess, but I'd say Rolf if it is a GSL-SE.

nah i know Rolf too well hes one of my best friends and it was simply a GSL. about the same color though as Rolf's a little lighter brown than that.. you can tell whoever owns it tracks it in some sort of event it has pass inspection stickers on the windshield. I think it was scca. pretty sweet car whoever owns it.. i parked the Opel down a few cars from it before i noticed it. also was curious if Derek king stil owns that blue wrx. idk if it was his but this wrx has a pink vinyl covering the drivers side fender and a cage in the back. saw it at the st Joe apartments.

Machining,

I have an associates in Mechanical drafting/CAD from when I was down at Vincennes University and I wanted to stay and learn CNC programing but I can't stand that area down there any longer, such a dump.. so i decided to come up to fort wane where there's people i know and try this machining major at ivy tech.. it may just be a waste of time i don't know but it's less boring round here.

My bad didn't get that close of a look to notice full cage, did see the quick release and wheel . i saw when u gave the thumbs up it didn't dawn on me that was you either, rolfs met you but I haven't. i was at chucks once but u were out drifting the miata way back.

I hadn't planned on bringing the Opel up here, but i didn't get the 7 running in time. least it gets about 32 mpg

anyone have suggestions for wider rims? I have a hell of a time catching traction in my FD with the stock 16x9's. the widest tires I can fit on the rear are 275's. I've been looking around and it seems through the companies i've been looking at 9 is the widest they offer before custom rims.

Nick's FD had some pretty great progress this week. Not quite running yet, but it's CLOSE.

Few more odds and ends and mine will be on the road.

you can fit a 11.5" (295) wide tire on your stock wheels under a STOCK fender (26" tall tire, you can fit a 28" with a flat rolld fender).

nice! but i was planning on getting some fender flares as i have no experience or skill with bodywork lol. I'm hoping to fit up a set of 315's at least cause the poor 275's spin all through 1st and a bit into second. the only track near me is an eighth mile so i don't get any higher than third. best time on the 275's was 8.23 at 90 mph.

What are your 60 footers?
275s are plenty of meat. I'm thinking an improvement in driving will make up for a lot.
No offense.
You can't just wail it in 1st and expect the tires to stick like velcro.

not gonna lie, my reaction time is ****, my timeslips are at home though and i'm in the sandbox now. the cars i'm facing in wichita falls tx (where my apartment is) are mostly built vettes and mustangs though. the mustangs i can handle, but there's one vette with a bored out ls2 and a 150 shot of nitrous. i'm determined to run with that sob after this deployment. I'm still talking with chris at banzai on which turbo to use for a single conversion among a few other toys i plan on getting after this trip. after that point i'm not betting on the 275's catching near as well.
