Des Moines RX-7s
Hello all,
This is my first post here. I have been wanting an RX-7 for years and finally found one. I am thinking about buying a fixer-upper that needs a lot of work. I am wondering if there are any people from around the Des Moines or Mason City area.
I live in Des Moines, but I will have my RX-7 stored and work on it at my parent's house between Mason City and Algona. Just in case I screw something up and need some help, I want to know if there is anyone I can call.
Also, are there any RX-7 clubs in the area?
Thanks.

I'm from Center Point (15 miles north of Cedar Rapids) I have a friend who has a 86 N/A Rx-7 for sale if you'd be interested. I think he wants $1,200-$1,500 for it. Car runs, just needs a coolant line replaced (cheap)

Saturday, I am planning on picking up a '79 RX-7 for $200. The carb needs to be gone through and it should run fine. It runs now, you just have to dump gas into the carb. Thanks for the info though.

Yeah, i have an '88 10AE with a couple things done. Sesshoumaru is your man though if you're needing some help, hes probably the most knowlegeable rotorhead anywhere in probably a 500+ mile radius.

Jason I hope to see your car running to.
Hell, maybe my car will run to. I mean the FD not the FB. That car took a ****. Think if you get some time you could take a look at it. It keeps choking itself out.

Slow really really slow. The FB was getting unrealiable so I went out and bought a 02 ram so that when I get the car(s) running I will have something to take them to the track and to meets with. Right now it is my main transportation. Im getting just the main parts I need right now just so I can get the engine back in the car. If I get both of them running for RR I plan on taking them both.

Last year only 4 ppl went.
Rob, rob's friend, my friend, and myself.
It was a blast..... Got to see the 4 rotor go around the track and the meaniest 12A i've ever seen/heard.
Def going this year too.
Hopefully i can bring the FD down again .

I wouldn't mind going. Depending on when it is and what other plans I have at the time. I highly doubt I'll be taking my FC there. Unless I come into some moolah and get it all tricked out yo.

I know that Im going to RR when it comes around again. I may not have the FD running but I will go. If I dont bring my FD I can trailer someones car there is they want. A little $$ will be involved. I sure hope that RR got moved to June. It was cold as hell last year.
