Central wisconsin Rx7 owners
I'm from Menomonee Falls and have a saphire blue 88 SE. I rarely see FCs, or any RX7 in the Milwaukee area. I have been to a few autocross and track events in the area and am usually the only FC or 1 of 2 haha. But a meet/drive sounds like it would be fun.
I guess ill hafta update the obviously dead wisconsin thread
but up in the wausau/stevens point area, sept 30th at "Wausau Homes" parking lot, there will be a relatively large turn out for a good AutoX event. Prize money...trophies...competition... SCCA classing...c'mon wisconsin/minnesota guys. Aside from me, there is only one other rotary powered vehicle. Use your car for what it was meant for...

Hello guys I've had my BLK '93 Fd for about 2 years now, I'm from the Madison area. Spent most of the time in storage for rebuild, but we got it running again a few months ago. it's been my DD since, can see me driving around town mostly around downtown and the west side.

Wow, thats 2 FD's now in madison? Im gonna hafta keep an eye out, havent seen any yet this year. Where did you happen to aquire this car? If its been in the area for a little while, I bet I know who 2 of the previous owners were
Don G. was the person I purchased the car from, he lives in Milwaukee and as far as i know he has been there with the FD since '99 looking at the paper work. Other than myself I have heard my buddies talking about 2 or three other FD owners from Madison. There is the yellow one that used to have the 2jz in it, I think DynoTuned has had a chance to touch it. And 2 red ones one I've seen, one at my job with a black roof and the other I hear has motor issues, not sure if it is running.
this is one of his most recent tunes
Nymphosaurus, I have an FD in Madison as well. If I'm not mistaken, I think I saw you driving on Park street one afternoon about a month and a half ago, unless there's another black FD in Madison. Mine's silver and is pretty much completely stock aside from a catback. Unfortunately, there was an incident with a deer this weekend, so it will be in a body shop soon, but I would be in strong agreement with the idea of having a Madison meet, and if we can work it out, make Madison meets somewhat regular.
Also, I know of a total of at least 4 FDs in the Madison area. There is mine, Nympho's, a red one that I've primarily seen in Middleton, and there is a Montego FD that lives in my neighborhood. I've never spoken to the owner personally, but his wife told me that he used to do track events on a regular basis. From what I can see on it from the outside, it has a FMIC, coilovers of some kind, stoptech brakes and some Volk wheels. He also has 99 spec taillights.
Stauren, It was probably me that you've seen. I work at Meriter Hospital so I am usually on S park street and John nolen on and off. As for a meet I'm pretty busy most of the day because my hours of work are 11am-8pm. My weekends usually only consists of running errands and ending at the bars, wouldn't mind a meet here and there at all.
I saw the montego one over a year ago, supposedly belongs to a guy who works at discount tire... or at least thats what he said to me when he overheated in right in front of my work place... blasting coolant everywhere. Has a decent sized single turbo tho
I agree. Perhaps next year for me though, getting late in the season and my 7 is still in pieces.
dynotuned as a build shop has been gone for a while now, he pretty much just does dyno tuning. Says there is way too much BS and drama involved in building peoples cars. But he can tune the **** out of most anything, and can/has worked with most every engine management system. His DD for the summer was a 600 horse E85 fueled Grand National, so he not just import either
I'm not sure about this year as we've already seen snow, though it hasn't stuck. My car is in the shop for body repairs after a deer decided he didn't want to live anymore and used my car as his .45. I will likely be parking mine for storage once I get it back, but we really shouldn't let this idea go by the wayside.
