Shop in Rockford IL
you are not alone... but rx7 owners in WI are very strewn about.
as far as there being a rotary specific shop... i dont thing there are any... the nearest shop (that i would trust) would be banzai (http://www.banzai-racing.com/)

What about ASpec Tuning in Schaumburg? Are they still around? If I ever find a decent FD around here I was hoping to use them since thats the closest shop to Milwaukee I could find.

I live in Madison. I haven't taken to many pics yet {it looks alittle rough} in the process of rebuilding the brakes and the fuel system. hopes are to have it track ready by spring.

Well, there's a beast that sleeps in waukesha, but I don't know much about it, I was wonderring if this was a local car and if someone knew anything about it, or if someone's checked it out. Had to come from somewhere right? Heres the link, and is that a missing passenger door handle? Idk, I wanna get it, and I know FD maintenance is high, but I don't wanna have to do an engine rebuild right away, even though the used dealership does warranty all there cars over $3gs, for 3k miles.

One thing I have noticed is that compared to FL and HI the mazda dealership here is terrible to work with. The guys in the parts dept are helpless, couldn't order me parts unless I brought in the printout of the parts manual and talked to the damn manager. Basically told me parts I knew for sure that mazda still makes don't exist... terrible. So whatever you do don't go to Bergstrom.

i can usually get what i want at the local mazda dealership here in madison, but you have to be patient. 1 guy is more than willing to help, while the other is the kinda guy who hates everything mazda, yet has been a parts slinger at the dealership for years...go figure

...it twitches ocassionally
I was out and about driving like a dick and annoying people with my exhaust yesterday. Got some fresh fuel in her and intentionally went a lil heavy on the premix for extra lube action, roughly 40 miles, 2 hrs and probably too many 8k rpm shifts. But what can i say, i like the sound of lightly muffled duals on a 13B On my small excursion I found another FB rx7 and cruised with him for a few miles, and a lil bit later i was being "aggresively" followed by an Rx-8... but neither of them wanted to play with me
