Central wisconsin Rx7 owners
Im looking to know if there are any rotary shops in the middle of Wisconsin or any events ect. im board lol, i got the only rx7 in what seems like a 100mi radius. let me know if im not alone in the state :p
you are not alone... but rx7 owners in WI are very strewn about.
as far as there being a rotary specific shop... i dont thing there are any... the nearest shop (that i would trust) would be banzai (http://www.banzai-racing.com/)

CPR seems to specialize in only fd's....? Another guy I recommend is Randy @ Tripled R Autosports.

welcome to the site. there is just about anything you need to know available for you.
while wisconsin doesn't have the amount of RX7s that states having import ports (Florida, California, and the NE) have there are a surprising amount of RX7s about.
as to shops... i don't know Triple R but have worked w Beyond Redline in Green Bay and they do first class work. they are not mazda exclusive but know them inside out. as to transmission work i use John at UnderCar in West Bend. excellent.
i don't run a "shop." i simply build (only) 13BREW motors. and yes i am "still" building them.... i shipped one out yesterday, have another to ship monday and have one starting build and another enroute.
you should have no problem finding what you need in wisconsin.
good luck,
howard

Welcome aboard. I'm in Stevens Point, which is about as central Wisconsin as it gets. There aren't too many RX-7's around here, but there are some. There are plenty of FB's, very few FC's, and maybe like two FD's are in the area. Shops and tuners specific to RX-7's are few and far between in WI, so it's best to read, read, read & become your own mechanic when you own one around here.
a lil late on the post but i run around madison area annoying people in my FB, will be my current DD until mid Nov. I know of a blue S4 T2, 2 S4 convertables owned by some old guys, a few other FB's and 1 FD also in the madison area. what part of the state are you at?
as for events, its not a rx-7 event, but there is supposed to be a track day at shawno on oct 8th

Anyways, I'm down by Monroe right now, but work just off the beltline in Madison. Trying to move closer to madison right now.
yep, i know where most of the 7's are located in my area...kinda. the majority are on the south/west side of madison, where i usually run around. im positive there are more, but they seem to be quite reclusive animals around here...coming out only once a month...maybe
im doin my best to leave ringing ears and teary eyes where ever i go to make up for the lack of everyone else driving their 7's.... tsk tsk
there was once even a time, several years ago, when i first owned my 79 SA and literally up the hill on my street was a red S4. 2 blocks away, within a block of eachother, was a gold FB and my current baby, my 82
and several blocks further was a 302 swapped FB
is this Jeff? or perhaps there is another blue S4 T2 im unaware of :O
...lastly ide like to say that the track day at USA international raceway in shawano was very fun this weekend. it was done as a standing start/finish autox at what is normaly a kart track...great elevation changes and lots of tight turns, and its too bad that few rx's were represented. there was a V8 swapped S5, an Rx-8 and me. im suprised i didnt kill my car, and how well my times turned out to be

I have had my 88 TII in Appleton for the past 9 years (in storage). I have been in Japan the whole time but, I wish I was there to roll around with some local 7s. If/when I return rest assured, I will be out again.
