I dunno if this influences the date or not, but the next weekend (March 24-26) is the St. Louis Region SCCA's Double Drivers school. Not many 3rd gens, but guaranteed to see some 1st and 2nd gens as well as at least one RX8 turning laps over at Gateway Road Course.

Drivers School on Saturday, Regional race on Sunday.

 

John is still over seas, I don't think I will make it for the tuning, but deffently make this. The motor is in, everything is there except the intake and dyno time, shouldn't be long before I get it back.

 

Im in LeCouer DuMonde Apartments, off of Marine, right up from the park. I get the house March 10th, last day here March 31st. Time is moving sloooow.

maybe you could organize a screening of various blaxploitation films of the late 70's. Make it @ a drive in so we can integrate rx7's.

 

Just the events you show up at. It's bad form to organise something then not show up yourself. Besides, I wouldn't exactly call announcing you'll be at the racetrack or a gay bar and for others to just show up 'organising'.

However, as usual, when someone else does plan something, on a day that I know is free, something invariably pops up that requires my mandatory attendance.

That'll blow all the old farts/muscle car enthusiasts out of the water. I can see the looks on their faces now.

 

If it's on East then I cannot go. I always have family plans on Easter.

What have I organized and not shown up at? Getting people together at the track is better than nothing. I enjoy myself and I know the other guys do too.

I organized both Steve Kan Tuning Sessions, the huge meet at rush hour a few years back, helped organize the enormous meet in St.Charles where Pettit, RX7.COM showed up at and various barb-q's.

I feel that I've done my part.

I was at the Rush Hour thing, good sized event. I missed the one in St. Charles.

I might start planning another drive this spring. Maybe in April.

Not at this event... but... we're working on a HPDE type event coming up soon. Full day event of track time with SCCA licenced instructors and safety crew. I'll be sure to post details when it gets fleshed out.
