How about a big STL get-together March 18th or 19th? I'll invite the RX-8 guys too obviously ... I have my ideas, but I want to take other suggestions as well.

So let's hear your ideas before I give mine.

 

Location............. is key. A bunch of people will be coming from Illinois so make it half way between St.louis and Illinois. You always organize these things too far away for us Illinois folks. 19th would be best.

None of that stupid cruising to the wineries either. It's a dumb idea.

Also, you aren't allowed to smoke cigars. That nastyness stinks the joint up.






We'll already have tons of RX7's coming to St.Louis from multiple states for the weekend of Feb 3rd-6th. I would call that a meet.

I'm thinking IL this time ... maybe I'll get with Auffenberg for a tech day thing, maybe get a radio spot too and have some nice cars from the group out front of the dealership. Then over to D-R for a BBQ and hanging out. And I'm sure I could get a few sponsors for give-away items.

Of course the Steve Kan day is a meet, but that's 6 weeks before what I'm planning.

Talk to Auffenburg Mazda, they will be game. I spoke to the Manager a year ago and he seemed pretty excited about doing it.

 

I would like to come, but it totally depends on location too, as well as what date this happens to drop on.

So, Is this going to be as spirited drive as well. I'll be able to drive hopefully, but not keep up with you turbo guys. Damn. I was gonna give you turbo guys trouble for the cars always being down, but mi N/A is too. I'm hoping to drop the motor in tomorrow.

 

I can take you guys on 30 minute circle around Fairview Heights>Belleville>Ofallon but if you're talking about a long long drive, count me out. My $9.95 per gallon gas isn't very budget friendly.

 

its not weird if we have a meet ill be getting drunk most likely. And i do not drink and drive, so a hotel may be a good idea

I think Karl is thinking more along the lines of the JeffCo drives that would be a little to......'enthusiastic' for the Fairview Heights/Belleville/O'Fallon area.

Maybe something further south or east, Red Bud or Breeze.

There is the idea that depending on what Ryan sets up, the St.Charles and points north crowd could meet and sort of caravan across the 270 bridge, maybe cut down 157 or 159 and the south guys can come across 255 and work their way up .
