A bunch will start poppig up on this site when the season gets under way. http://www.myautoevents.com/pls/mae/frmMain.Show
I like the events that windy city miata club put on, lots of runs for little money. But the courses are always small and twisty.

If you're willing to drive a bit, we have quite a few races around the Grand Rapids area. I just posted a bunch of dates in the Sticky thread at the top of this section. Cost is usually about 15 - 20 bucks, and we have loaner helmets available. Atmosphere is very laid back and friendly.
Anyway, check the sticky if you like. I also usually provide camping space for out of towners and turn the events into weekend long bonfire parties.

Are you restricting yourself to only autocrosses? I go to Gingerman once a month for their Test n' Tunes. It's only $60 for THREE HOURS OF TRACK TIME!!!
Also, Midwestern Council has a reasonably cheap "High Speed Autocross/ Time Attack" program where you run autocross-style passes on a real road course instead of a parking lot.
Or come hang out with us when we run NASA Midwest events and do a track day!

Hey Weed Wacker, could you shoot me a PM when heading for Gingerman? It's close to me, but I've never been there before, although I've wanted to for years. Now that my car is pretty well sorted, I'd love to get down there for some track time....

What kind of notice do you usually like? Maybe I'll start a Gingerman Caravan thread once it gets a little closer to the season?
