Anyone know this race car?
I took this pic and video at the Bobby Rahal Historic auto races at Autobahn last summer, wondering if its a local chicago car or what.
I know the pic doesnt show much but the video is better.

That video was taken on my digital camera so the sound quality isnt the best. Didnt sound bad in person but it definitly has a bit of 2 stroke sound to it.

Since that's a vintage race, I assume the car is either a former IMSA GTU race, or a replica thereof. Either way, both the exhaust note (12A bridgeport with race exhaust) and door gutting are period correct.

Yeah, that car is pretty sweet in person. Its a full on race car and I got the impression that it is a real original GTU car. He did pretty well in his class too if I remember. It was the only Mazda there in a sea of Porches, Mustangs and BMW's.
