Saturday the 14th sounds like a good day to get together but we do need to decide on a place. I live in fremont and would like to not have to drive very far. I am having some whisteling noise in my turbos at high rpms, i think i may need a rebuild or new turbos (or if you guys think it might be something else let me know) so i dont know when i will get it fixed, i guess it should be before the 14th of May.

Can you be a little more descriptive? Some whistling sound, especially if you have hard intake pipes, is natural and nothing to be alarmed about. If it's just at high RPM (under hard boost), your probably leaking boost from one of the couplers on your intake pipes. Check them all for a good seal, especially the one from the 'Y' pipe to cross over pipe (going to the IC).
If you don't have smoke, and your getting a good 10-8-10 boost pattern the turbos are probably fine.

I'm off this weekend Mazdaspeed. If you need some help and want to drive here to Bellevue (weather permitting), we can check it out. I'm not a guru, but might be able to help. Just let me know.

My car is all stock so i dont have any hard pipes. I also dont know the boost pattern because i dont have a boost gauge, YET! I check the hoses and see whats going on.

I should have mentioned this earlier, but since your car is still stock it probably still has the "pinch" type clamps on the intake pipe couplers. While mine were already changed out when I bought my car, I think some others here on the forum have complained that those OEM clamps don't seal as well, especially under boost. You may want to consider replacing them with decent worm-gear clamps (radiator hose clamps). Get the widest ones you can find.

FWIW, I'm changing out my "Pettit Racing-Autometer" boost guage in the near future for a DEFI guage. If your on a budget I'd probably let mine go cheap. It's 52mm and works fine, just doesn't match my DEFI water temp guage. You can see it on my car and make me an offer.

Ya i have the pinch clamps, i wondered myself how Mazda thought that those clamps would seal anything off real good. they dont seem tight enough. Can i get radiator hose clamps at like AutoZone? I might be interested in the guage, i dont think i will make it to bellevue anytime so if you can get a picture of it that would be great. Thanks

Yeah, hope some of you can make it so Jeff doesn't have to hang out with the elderly alone.

Hey Shawn,
Sorry we missed you. It was a last minute thing. I wanted to pick something up at Harbor Freight so since I was up in Omaha anyway...
Is your car up and running with that big single yet?

I'll be running XS Engineering's [not to be confused with eBay's XS Power] T04S kit. Power-wise, since I'll be running with stock ports, I'm hoping to get around 380rwhp @ 15psi.

As much as I'd love to go up to MN for that tuning session, nothing beats driving down the street to meet up with Steve Kan, so I'd definately love to be a part of the Omaha tuning session!

power hungry, your car sounds like a beast - can't wait to get all the Omaha RX-7s together soon!
