Any get togethers in Nebraska??
I got my FD in September from Lincoln and was wondering how many people have RX-7's from Nebraska that are on this site AND if there are any times you guys get together, let me know. I'm from Fremont.

MazdaSpeed,
Congratulations on your car. Drop me a PM after the weather breaks, I'd love to see it. Maybe we can get some others together too.
Not alot of other FDs around, only three others in the Omaha area that I know of... "busy13b" and "Pearlyellow" are on this forum. I think there was another out in the Hastings area as well, but I've never talked to him, just saw pics of his car on the website of another car club. Would that be you Power Hungry?

The ****** weather sucks right now. I was gonna take it out this weekend but it rained so i couldnt do that to my baby. I'm working on mine right now hopefully will get it out in march. I had to change the plugs and wires, i only see my car on weekends cause i leave it in my dads garage and he lives 30 miles away. I think i put the gasket back on wrong, the gasket in between the TB and the head of the motor, i can feel the throttle catch on something then it let goes right away, i believe its the butterflies not sure yet. Ill have to check it out more next weekend. BUT we really need to get something goin on here in NE, my friend has a Eclipse GST and we might go to a meeting that is in Ohio, we need a HUGE get together like that. If anyone knows what i should check on my car to figure out why it is catchin let me know.
When i got the car from the dude in lincoln he said that there were like 3 in lincoln including the one i got from him and like 5 in Omaha. I would love to see them, some other guy here in fremont just got a $23000 car, he bought it already fixed up, i personally would rather do it myself.

I cant imagine the gasket causing a problem but I had a similiar problem with the adjustment on the secondary butterflys. there is a allen screw on the side of the throttle body that adjusts the 2 butterflys on the uppper portion of the TB and if it is adjusted to far in they will stick. but it is faint if you have a very noticeable catch I would pull your TB off again and really inspect it. My butterflys would catch with the TB on and off.

Mazdaspeed, Sorry I couldn't help you more on your sticking throttle. It really doesn't sound like anything too serious. If you haven't already, be sure to search in the 3rd gen section well. If there's one thing you can count on, it's that someone else has had your problem before. It might give you some more ideas on what to check.
Do you have the FSM yet?

Sgt Blue You have a very nice car. I would really like to get together with the local rotary guys here sometime so maybe when the weather clears. We can figure something out.

On meeting up, I'll do anything I can. Kenteth, when in May are you coming?
Just thinking out loud... maybe we could all hook up out at Mahoney Park. That would be alittle more convenient for those in Lincoln and still easy for everyone in Omaha/Bellevue. They've got a restaurant that's "OK" or get a spot and do a real BBQ. Hell, might also find a nice back-drop for photos if anybody has talent in that regard.
Does anyone have a way of getting in touch with Joe and the others from the old OMAHARX7 forum?

FSM?? I'll look at the throttle body this weekend and probably get it figured out. I live in fremont so keep posting on this thread to let me know when you guys might meet up. My car is completely stock too so dont feel bad Sgtblue, it is definatley not "boring." Where is the AST located. Is it in the very front on the drivers side by the pop-up headlight?? What color is the stock AST??

It also has alot of "trouble-shooting" stuff in it and generally a picture breakdown of various components. It can be a BIG help and you can download one for free here:
http://iluvmyrx7.com/index.htm
The AST (air seperation tank) is located on the driver's side of the stock intercooler. It has a radiator cap on it and because it's next to the IC somebody will inevitably ask you why you've got two radiators.
The stock AST is made of hard green plastic. Most of the after-market AST's are all aluminum, either painted or polished.
