417rotary May 21st Lake of the Ozarks Rally

I'm pleased to annouce the first annual 417rotary Lakes Rally!

The drive is under way and in full swing, now all we need is more peeps!! Big thanks to the Joplin crew for stepping up and joining in on the fun. So plans have been set and flyers have been made, I just can't wait till the 21st Here's the details.

Springfield Crew:
We are meeting at the "Shop" parking lot @ 10 am; just west of Grizzly's. In case you don't know where it's at here's the address:
.
There's plenty of space and easy access for a bunch of cars.

Joplin Crew:
Initially you will meet up at the Snak Attack on 44th St. in Joplin at 8:30 a.m. Here is the link for the location.

Click the map below for location and directions!

Then you will depart from Joplin at 9 or so and meet up with the Springfield crew at the "Shop" here in Springfield @ 10 a.m.

Departure time will be at 10:30 am and the Springfield / Joplin crews will be caravaning up to Bagnell Dam via this route:

It should take roughly an hour to hour and a half to get to the dam; which would put us around 12. Factor in 2 hours of us hanging out at the damn waiting for others to arrive, taking group pictures and chit chatting. Once we gather at the Dam around 12, we will depart the dam around 2 and caravan to the H. Toad.

Click the map below for directions!

We have a room reserved @ 2:30, for us to gather and enjoy a more private / quite atmosphere. The Sky's the limit on how long you want to stay but some of us may be spending the night. For more information on where we are eating follow this link!

A flyer has been made for those that want to pass them out to other rotorheads!

Click here for full image to print.....

Here's some shots to last falls Eureka Springs drive, just as a taste of what to expect :ugeek:

I hope to see everyone there! Should be a great time with fellow rotorheads!

Thanks,
Chris

Yeah I know right?! Oh well, there is still more time and I'd be just as happy if it was only the 417 crew that attended.

I made a more detailed destination point for all of us to meet at the dam in the clickable google maps. If you look we are parking in the lot on the southern side of the Dam... Follow Valley road to Legion road to get to it. If any one has any questions call Chris at 417-631-3094

Looks like the weather is going to be nice today! Chance of showers %30, but isolated in Springfield! So that means pretty much no rain... The lakes are calling for no rain with a high in the 80's. Looking forward to seeing you guys there!!!!

You guys missed out on a beautiful day for those didn't show! Couldn't of asked for a better day considering the weather reports the day before. A few us still showed up and enjoyed meeting some new faces and cars! I'm going to be a little picture happy here

Nice looking cars. Love the FD in white t2. Looks like it was fun.
My thoughts are with any of the Joplin members and familys affected by the storms and tornados. What a mess.

I'll be traveling down to Branson June 1st to 4th. I'm a member of the local 'Z' Club but planning to take my FD to a "'Z' Fest". Should be interesting. ;') I'm told the roads are awsome.

Thanks for the compliments, she's been quite the fun project.. I appreciate the thoughts for the Joplin crew, 3 of the cars were from Joplin and I know one of them lived only a half mile away from where the tornado touched down. But all the ones in our group are doing well and are safe.

I don't know from where you will be coming into Branson but if you want to hang out let me know, since I live in Springfield. It's always nice to meet another rotor head

Nice to meet you Chris. Matt too. And very nice job on that single turbo Chris. Great attention to detail and I REALLY envy the simplicity and space you have. Damn fine car.
Always great to put a face with a name. Sorry I missed meeting up with Charlie though. I didn't check my phone until pretty late.

Hope to meet again soon. Be sure to let me know if you guys ever come north for anything.

It was nice meeting you as well Jim!! I haven't checked the forum in a couple of weeks hence the delayed response. You have one of the cleanest FD's I have ever seen in person in a very long time! Your attention to detail is noteworthy ha. Keep up the good work on it man, you are certainly on the right path!
I'm sure you'll have another chance to meet Charlie again, he's a really cool guy. And we will keep you posted for any K.C. stuff
