Exclamation wiring up stock coils with LTX8??help?

I currently purchased a microtech LTX8 ecu but my question is how do i use this or wire up to the stock coils on a 87 13Bt?? At the moment of purchase I thought it was an LT8 and maybe that ltx8 would be wired in the same way but saw some ignition wires differently.

I found out wiring was different (diff. from lt8 factory ignition hook up- 4 orange yellow wires on ltx8 instead of 3 grey wires on lt8)and eventually that ltx8 comes with igniter built in ecu.....so after realizing that either i needed to use aftermarket bosch or rig it somehow.

Could i just remove my stock igniters and use four factory trailing coil packs?? How would i wire this if doing this setup? Would i wire it straight into the coils like the microtech diagram just as if i had bosch coils?
Thanks for your attention,

yes you can remove the igniters off the factory trailing coil packs or fit 4 bosch coils,

you MUST have coils with .5ohm resistance or you will burn out the igniters,

Thanks Dale for the reply....so i would assume you would hook up the coils like the microtech diagram given in the instruction manual.

Now would this mean that I have to wire in .5 ohm resistors inline within each coil (wouldn't matter if it's wired in pos. or neg. side of coil?)? If i were to get bosch coil packs, do i still need .5 ohm resistance?

Also, do the coil packs still have to be grounded to the chasis of the car or does the microtech wires that I connect (yel, yel/blk, oran, oran/blk, brown ign grnd wire) already do this?
Thanks once again,

Christian

you will need to measure the resistnace on the coils, i dont think you can put a resistor in there to make it work, im pretty sure they will be fine,

the bosch coils are .5ohm, i have seen stock FC coils used on a LTX8 before so you should be right,

the coils wont need to be grounded anymore
